We had an amazing weekend!! Thank you especially to Sonja who moved us to a different chalet on short notice as I was stressing about my elderly mom missing the step inside the main bedroom in our allocated cottage! (Grateful for the lovely FB videos of the units). She was always available even though it was her weekend of. Melissa greeted us on arrival and was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our cottage was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. Lights and a gas burner were provided in case of loadshedding. We never had a lack of hot water for our showers or washing up and the aircon and ceiling fan worked perfectly. (We spend most of the time on the stoep for the view!!) We all enjoyed the scenic drive which started of with feeding the elephants. Our guides were very entertaining. We'll definitely be back!!

Did a Safari here and saw lions, rhinos, and elephants. Didn't see the leopard or buffalo though. The ranger Deon is very knowledgeable about the animals and provided information and facts about all the animals we saw. If coming to Africa, the animals are a must see. This is a good trip from Cape Town as it's not too far and you have a chance to see the big 5. They also provided breakfast and lunch and were very friendly and welcoming.

Shocking!! Arrived to be told our horseback safari was booked for the day we arrived rather than the following day which we wanted. When speaking to the guide he said he couldn't do that day anyway and that it would be the day we wanted. However because he was busy we would have to do a driven safari and a short horse ride afterwards. We weren't happy but something was better than nothing we thought. We then checked into our cabin to be greeted with two single beds rather than a double bed that we asked for. Another trip to management to ask for a different room to be told 'sorry we can't do that, can you just push the beds together'. I asked if we could at least have bedding for a double bed, and was told 'no we only have enough for the double beds we have'. So far we have a 100% failure and we haven't even reached 1 hour yet into our stay. I asked what was going on whereby I told that it was on our notes to have a 10% discount as well at checkin. Unfortunately this hadn't been spotted either and we were charged the full amount. At this point I said that if something isn't done we'll take a refund and leave. We were given a refund instantly, from the women on reception, however on the way out management told me I should have had a refund without management authorising it. We left having spent 1.5 hours getting there, we had to pay fuel, foreign exchange costs for our bank card and lost half a days holiday. On the way out we were asked by our neighbours what was going on as they were also having trouble with their room. This place could be good however the service and setup is just shocking. Save your money and spend a bit more to go to a professional game reserve. This one is a...

Very poor customer service. No regard for customer safety. My group of 9 adults made reservation for the morning tour. along with 12 other Caucasian visitors who also arrived for the safari tour. Only one vehicle was available therefore my party remained behind and another vehicle was due to arrive in 10 minutes. After complaining about the delay of one hour an open wrought iron truck used by the field workers arrived to take us on the safari. We refused to go because the vehicle was not the kind used for Safari. We would not be safe or protected from the animals if an accident occurred. No explanation was given. We requested to see the manager for a refund which we received. There was not enough breakfast for us because the caucasian group was first in line and we were told by the cook that no more food was available, only eggs. I had to ask her for bread. The breakfast was included in the cost of the tour. I believe my group was disrespected and treated in this manner because we're were black and they felt we did not know any better. Racism is still in existence in many subtle ways, and this was one of them.

I would not recommend these people to black tourists because it was obvious that we were treated...

was there on 21st nov 2012. our ranger guide, dennis, was great ... very informative & funny, too ! i felt like throwing up when he practically chew the animals' poop ... he said its only grass/leaves that came out from the animals' butt .... hahaha. & we had a most terrifying experience with the elephants .... the female came over & pushed our jeep, & the engine had to die at THAT very moment ... the commotion caught the attention of the male elephant ... he turned around to face our jeep like he was ready to charge at us ... when dennis finally got the engine running, we thought our nightmare was over ... as he drove away, the male came running after us .... most of us started screaming ! .... lucky in the elephant world, the female is the leader ... she walked away from us, so the male followed her ..... phew !

my mother accidentally used...
