It has been a week since our magical 4-night stay at Dulini River Lodge, and we are still in awe of the experience! The accommodations are stunning, with every detail thoughtfully designed to make you feel completely immersed in the beauty of the bush. The lodge itself is breathtaking, offering the perfect blend of luxury and nature.

What truly sets Dulini apart, however, is the people. The hospitality here is unmatched—every single member of the team is warm, welcoming, and deeply passionate about creating a memorable experience.

Nathan: Words cannot capture how incredible Nathan is as a guide. His passion for the bush is palpable and infectious, and his knowledge is extraordinary. Nathan has a gift for making every game drive an adventure, combining humor, storytelling, and expert insights. By the end of the trip, we left as friends. His impact on our journey is something we will cherish forever.

Colbert: With 30 years of experience, Colbert’s tracking skills are nothing short of mind-blowing. There were moments where his ability to find wildlife felt almost magical. Beyond his expertise, Colbert is kind, humble, and such a joy to be around. Together, Nathan and Colbert are the ultimate dream team, and we feel so lucky to have experienced the bush through their eyes.

Andy: Our butler, Andy, is the epitome of thoughtfulness. He paid attention to every small detail, always ensuring we felt cared for. From having our drinks ready the moment we sat down to his genuine curiosity about our game drives, Andy’s warmth and attentiveness made us feel so special. His smile lights up the room, and his kindness is unforgettable.

Jabu: Jabu’s positive energy and commitment to every guest’s well-being are remarkable. He has a calming presence and a way of making you feel completely at ease. His care and dedication added an extra layer of comfort and joy to our stay.

Our stay at Dulini River Lodge was pure magic, elevated by an exceptional team. Guide Kevan and tracker Chris were the heart of our unforgettable safari, combining deep knowledge and uncanny intuition with a genuine passion for the wild. Their dedication delivered incredible Big Five sightings and more: from the majestic leopards named Thamba and Rivala, towering elephants, white rhinoceros, wild buffaloes, and most thrillingly, agile cheetahs and the ever magnificent Plains Camp lions. Whenever word came that prides might cross onto Dulini land, Kevan and Chris would spring into action, their infectious determination turning each search into an exhilarating adventure. Chris’s sharp eyes also gifted us heart-stopping glimpses of lion pride following each other by the Sand River bank, and a cheetah family of sleek mother and cubs melting into the grass – a moment made sweeter by their shared excitement.||Back at the lodge, Ronnie-Ronnie plays beautifully into the butler service of effortless grace, anticipating every need with warm, attentive care. The nights were often owned by Jabo, who, besides showing off his Zulu dance moves, also escorted us back each night to our accommodation while sharing unique stories of his many wild encounters (some still needs to be vetted for authenticity but that’s exactly how folklore is created! :) This seamless blend of wild discovery and refined comfort made Dulini extraordinary. It wasn't just the awe-inspiring wildlife; it was Kevan and Chris's profound connection to the land and their relentless drive to share its wonders – whether chasing lions or spotting cheetah cubs and even a chameleon during the night drive. Combined with Ronnie-Ronnie's and the team’s impeccable hospitality across our varied dining options from BOMA dinners to Bush Breakfasts combined with Jabo’s folklore, it created a profoundly meaningful journey. Much gratitude to the entire Dulini team and we left deeply moved and wholeheartedly recommend Dulini lodges for an authentic, unforgettable African experience....

Words cannot describe the magic, beauty, unbelievable level of service, and scale of this outstanding private game reserve lodge. This place is truly something special, if I could give it ten stars I would.

The level of care and attention to detail from all staff at Dulini River lodge was something spectacular. All of our needs were anticipated, we were welcomed so warmly upon arrival and were so well taken care of during our stay. From the managers, to the butlers, all the way to the support staff - everyone was wonderful, friendly, kind, warm and dedicated. Our game driver and guide was Mac was exceptionally knowledgeable and fun to be around and our tracker Observe was wonderful. By the end of the stay we truly felt we were among friends.

Our room was immaculate! It came fully equipped with a stocked bar (that could be changed according to our liking if something was missing), an indoor and outdoor shower, private plunge pool, large patio with seating, a large bath tub and it was so spacious! The room is something seriously out of a dream.

The food and drink at Dulini was incredible! Our butler even surprised us with a private candle lit dinner in our room to celebrate our honeymoon. There were candles, flowers, a handwritten note, and private service from our incredible butler Positive. He went above and beyond to make our stay special and we were touched by his kindness. It was my birthday during my stay and the staff made such an effort to celebrate and were so kind. They made me a homemade birthday cake (with candles!), sang happy birthday and even wrote me a handwritten note with a little gift. Again, the care and attention to detail from everyone at this lodge is truly special.

Our stay with Dulini was single handedly the best travel and hospitality experience we have ever received.
