Beautiful, artistic and peaceful setting in the care of Remarkable Hosts

I have not yet come across such warm, caring, friendly, attentive, hospitable, happy, loving and easy-going hosts as we have found in Sheryl and Alan. The architectural design of the guest house and the inner and outer decor are awe inspiring and render a unique, yet serene atmosphere to the property. The sea view was magnificent, especially during sunrise, while relaxing with good quality coffee on the petite balcony. Our hosts received us with delicious coffee and rusks and made time to enlighten us about the area. Please spend adequate time in the garden at the back of the house, situated up against a high "wall" of fynbos (local vegetation) with birds freely visiting and making themselves at home - it is a great opportunity to cut yourself off from noise and movement and just drink in the peacefulness that is generated and begins to fill your soul. The room and bathroom were spacious and met with our expectations, with a very comfortable king size bed and a Nespresso machine to easily prepare enjoyable coffee (bring your own pods to have your favourite flavours on hand and your own milk frother & extra milk). Breakfast was delicious and sufficient with attentive service. Resources are available to read up on the area and the district to enhance your understanding and increase your appreciation for the history of both. There is no doubt that "Agulhas Ocean House" has become our home away from home when seeking a relaxed get away from city life. My Family and I had visited Agulhas once before and fell in love with the lay back atmosphere which Agulhas has to offer. We choose the "Agulhas Ocean House" as our choice for accommodation on both visits for multiple reasons. Apart from the amazing hospitality which flows through their blood stream by Alan, Sheryl and Tash, which previously mentioned, is their remarkable personalities which makes their guests stay as comfortable and homely as possible, their engaging conversations with guests gives you the sense of being more like a long lost friend or family member rather than a guest. Agulhas Ocean House is a quite modern looking house at the road from L'Agulhas to the cape. We were welcomed warmly by Sheryl with tea and delicious biscuits and she really took time to give us an introduction to the area and hints where to go and what to do. Our room was modern and clean facing the sea with all the amenities you can think of, even the red light of the TV was taped to make it less bright at night. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of cheese and ham/sausage next to juice, cereal, joghurt - everything you might want. When we drove off, Allan gave us helpful recommendations on the route and we were asked if we wanted to take the leftover bread as a snack for the road trip so it does not go to waste.
