La Motte B & B — Hotel in Dihlabeng Local Municipality

We loved our stay at the charming, homely La Motte guest house. We stayed in the Jangroentjie room, located in a separate and private old sandstone outbuilding, with a porch with a braai as well as a car port. The location of guest house on the outskirts of Bethlemen is perfect for exploring the beautiful eastern Free State , en route to Clarens. The main house is an old sandstone house which is characteristic of the Free State, with beautiful views and lots of character and ambience. The well appointed bedrooms are uniquely decorated with attention to detail and we loved the personal touches such as home-baked rusks and fresh flowers, as well as the quality linen and electric blankets (Bethlehem is a cold place!). The big and soft bath towels were luxurious, as was the heater in the bathroom. The bed is huge and comfortable and the small fridge as well as cutlery and crockery came in very handy. The BB is a beautiful place and all looks very nice. I have read all of the previous reviews and it seems that no one has a complaint and enjoyed their stay. I just wonder what went wrong yesterday, when I booked in two of my technicians at this establishment. I did reserve dinner and breakfast but was this morning informed that neither was served to my technicians. They were showed to there rooms and that was the full extend of the contact with my technicians. This morning very early I already received the invoice - which included a charge for breakfast and dinner? Not happy with the service and will not make booking at this...
