This place is truly a hidden gem! It's a gorgeous place, a little outside Clarens central, perfectly situated in the mountains, but definitely a bit of a drive in, so I would not suggest going with a fancy or small/low cars. It's also reasonably priced. We are still shocked that we were able to get two rooms, so last minute after our air bnb flooded. The rooms are so cute, self-catering with a little kitchen, and everything you need! We actually didn't know it was self-catering, but a great surprise leading up to the trip and a huge bonfire area to compliment. They should definitely promote this place and add a lot more pictures of the place, because their current listing just does not do it justice. This place is so worth it, so neat, clean and tidy too. It was unfortunate that the day we got there the bugs were hectic, literally couldn't go into our room without a million bugs flying in. So it would be nice if they were able to combat that in some way, although they did provide some Raid, which was very helpful, but it was quite hot, which made it difficult for us not being able to open windows because of the bugs. Perhaps an A/C could help with both problems in the future. I was so happy that the rooms get cleaned though, considering how many dead bugs were all over the room from the night before, that was a great bonus and they do an excellent job. However, I would suggest making sure their bedding and towels are thoroughly cleaned though -or bleached since it is white-, as ours was slightly stained. Another con for me was kids; they emphasised the place being more for quiet and relaxation, but when you host families with children that defeats the purpose. We were woken up very early by a child screaming and running up and down the stairs/corridors. Thankfully they left later that morning. Our last morning someone was hammering or banging outside, which also was not ideal. Other than these minor issues, this place is a stunning getaway, they are very much underrated in my opinion. The owners and staff are amazing! So caring and helpful, whatever you need, they truly cater for you. Shout out to Mary, the firewood lady, she was such a sweetie pie and went through so much effort to help me get back an item I had left behind. I cannot emphasise enough how great this place was for us, especially bonding with some friends we had not seen in a year. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
