Pandora's Guesthouse & Art in Bethlehem — Hotel in Dihlabeng Local Municipality

After travelling for most of the day, we were so looking forward to a refreshing rest, but was sorely disappointed. Upon arrival we were not welcomed by Juanette Lee as per our confirmation letter, the lady who did greet us was unfriendly and not very helpful. We were rather charmed by the place and its olde world feel but alas upon settling into our room noticed that the place is in desperate need of maintanence & upgrading, the toilet was broken, no soap holder in the shower, the bedding/blankets smelled unclean and had stains on them. We had booked DBB but were told there was no one to cook our dinner so we had to order takeout, which in all fairness they covered and collected. I absolutely fell in love with this place the moment I parked my car in the yard. It gave me such a peaceful vibe instantly that I automatically fell in love with it. I was further taken aback by the beauty that awaited me inside! The service, stellar 10/10, the entire aesthetic of the place is amazing 🥺 I fell head over heals with the place! I was finding my way in Bethlehem after starting a new job when I spent a few nights at Pandora’s and I didn’t want to leave lol. Great scenery , very nostalgic. Could not open any windows and it was very hot but overall not bad. The bathroom also had issues, the toilet had a leak and the taps on the basin was not fastened and could be potentially dangerous. We were told room 2 would be better suitable for 2 adults and a child of 2 years old but this was not the case, asked for the extra bed for the todler and all of a sudden it was R200 extra after we were informed this room would be better, we had a tough time with the baby without the extra bed hence the poor service rating, would we return , yes but would like the...
