We stayed here for only 1 night after attending a wedding at Diamant Estate. ||||Arriving at the farm was a bit confusing as the signage wasn't amazing and then had to call the owner to open the gate. Once inside the farmhouse was very beautiful and homey.||||I loved seeing all the animals on the farm and the little rustic decor pieces and quirks on the property and in the hoouse - filled with old photographs and antiques.||||Our room was lovely, basic and clean - nothing fancy, but we slept very nice! The only part that really threw me was that the bathroom, specifically the toilet was open, and shielded only by a small screen from the rest of the room.||||The breakfast was ok, we thought it was included so decided to have it, but afterward found out it was extra, for the price we paid I would recommend rather having breakfast at one of the beautiful restaurants in the area instead.||||The owner was very hospitable and even though they only took cash, which we were not aware of, she allowed us to EFT at a later stage.||||For the price we paid and seeing that it was only one night, I had a...
Read moreWe stayed here for one night following a wedding in Paarl. We had been at an hotel previously.||This venue was well signposted. One arrives at electric gates and it is probably best to phone the owner to announce ones arrival.||We were lucky enough to stay in the separate flats in the garden. One with one double bed, the other with two, bedrooms. They seemed spacious and homely. We had lovely furnishing and fittings, a corner bath and a lovely shower.||The stoop was lovely, both with brais. Plenty of outdoor seating to watch the sunset.||There were fridges, coolers etc etc. Oh, and TVs.||There was no Wi-Fi but that was. I’ve, to put down the electrics and exist by ourselves.||There is a pool, smaller than the one in the photos but perfect to cool down in.||The hostess and owner was utterly charming, welcoming and informative. ||The rooms are surrounded by paddocks and the thoroughbreds are lovely.||Breakfast was delicious.||Central Praal with all conveniences and eateries etc is a few Km down the road.||This isn't a 'modern' place but it is comfortable and homely. We would highly...
Read moreHorses were lovely to see! The owner was not very involved with us for which she apologised but it would be nice if there was a brochure or something in the room to help us find our way around the farm. The pool looked terrible! Breakfast served strictly between 8am and 9am only. When we came out our room for breakfast we stood around until 8.15 not sure where to go. No one around, main house doors shut. So we opted to go home. No milk or kettle in our room for coffee. Sink pipe broken in kitchen, we placed a bucket under sink ourselves to catch the leaking water. No drinking water available, tap water not drinkable. No tv, no wifi, no aircon. No soap to shower with, we used the hand soap. We paid R800 for the night and the room was lovely but service lacking from management at that price and does not feel like 4 - star facility. One does expect "the basic little things" for what you are expected to pay to stay there. The facility website displays Error 404 or something so one cannot find info...
