Blue Horizon Bay Guest House — Hotel in Eastern Cape

We booked into this guest house at very short notice after our first choice fell through due to being full. We had a very friendly welcome from Hans and Marlene and they went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay for us. Unfortunately things did not always go according to plan, of which the worst was that their alternative power supply was not working during load-shedding, due to being under maintenance or something. Early on the last morning when I wanted a shower before leaving for home, there was no hot water in the shower, while it was with a huge shock when we found out the previous night that there was no DSTV sport on our room's TV in order to watch the rugby. Rooms are sparsely decorated, with comfortable beds and dressers with a coffee making unit in the room. The family working at this hostel is so amazing and very helpful. Me and my boyfriend didnt know it was going to be so hard to find transport to take us around so we couldnt stay for long, but the family was so helpful and understanding and in the end they did solve our problem. The place is clean and very cute with an amazing yard and pool.
