Fairways B&B Uitenhage — Hotel in Eastern Cape

During a business trip we booked in at Fairways. The Unit allocated to us was well equipped, clean, and offered self-catering facilities.||||The bedroom is situated on the top floor and the stairs are quite steep should you have any luggage to take to the top. The room however is spacious and tastefully furnished. I would like to suggest a full length or medium sized mirror to be either placed inside the cupboard or against the wall before you exit down the stairs. I found myself having to sit down to use the mirror above the dressing table - as one has to stand at an akward angle to be able to use the mirror while standing.||||The shower, lounge and kitchenette is situated on the ground floor. The kitchen is well equipped with the necessary items needed for self-catering purposes. In the unit allocated to us - I found the shower to be suitably spacious, but the washbasin and toilet to be a tight squeeze. The wash basin is the size you would normally find in some guest bathrooms, and only great for washing hands. I tried to wash my face, but kept on spilling water on the floor. At one stage I seriously contemplated washing my face in the kitchen sink out of shear desperation - as this was the only basin that could comfortable accommodate me doing this.||||Breakfast was tasty and served by Brenda - the hostess and owner.||||Overall a pleasant stay, but I would like to make a friendly suggestion that consideration be given to possibly providing a larger washbasin with additional space for toiletries (or small cupboard below the basin). The current space below the stairs does fortunately provide for the extension of shower space - should this be considered by the owners...

I stayed at Fairways for the whole month of July and 3 weeks in August. I must say thank you to Brenda . You are hospitality yourself. You took care of me. I received excellent service everyday. Bieng a hotelier myself I can proudly say you deserve more . Thank you for all the love . Iv been to 4 Star hotels but I must say your guesthouse meets and exceed guests expectations . Thank you again darling keep shining. I would definitely recommend this gueshouse....
