Fairbairn Guest Farm — Hotel in Elundini Local Municipality

The Guest Farm House is wonderful with breathtaking views, as well as marvelous accommodations. We only stayed one night and had an entire guest house with 2 dining rooms, living room, 2 kitchen areas, et. It was beautifully decorated and the location is so peaceful and quiet. We made arrangements for dinner and breakfast (additional costs). Wow, the homemade pot roast dinner with all the trimmings (potatoes, onions, carrots, green beans, pickled beets) and dessert (mava pudding with crème) was absolutely delicious. And, the breakfast was served in another separate wood heated room overlooking the mountains. It was also made to order and scrumptious. Both were worth the price, and presented in an old-fashioned farm hospitality way. Most of all, the hostess (Linky) and her staff deserve recognition for their attentiveness and making guests feel at home. Thumbs up to Linky. We stayed at that comfortable and lonley place over NewYears Eve, in the old farmhouse, furnished like a house to live in and not only holiday accomodation, with a piano, old kitchen stove, etc. in the middle of a beautiful garden with huge old trees. Fantastic scenery with possibilities to hike and walk, surrounded by pastures with horses and cattle. Outstandig Braai facility, even when the weather is not so nice. This is where you go to get away from it all. Picturesque setting and truly welcoming people, it has the benefit of not having any cell reception. Wifi is free, but this is not the place to try and surf the web. Revel in the isolation, while connecting with real people.
