We recently had the pleasure of visiting Blue Crane Trout Farm in Dullstroom, and it was an experience to remember! This picturesque retreat is the perfect destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Surrounded by rolling hills and serene landscapes, the farm is a haven for nature lovers and avid anglers alike.

The trout fishing experience was exceptional, with well-maintained dams stocked with healthy, lively fish. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing tips and guidance to ensure everyone had a successful and enjoyable fishing trip. Even as a beginner, I felt welcomed and supported.

We spent 3 nights at Blue Crane Farm and booked the lovely Kingfisher chalet. It has 2 comfortable en suite bedrooms, pristine white linen and comfortable mattresses. Panel heaters and excellent fireplace ensured that we were nice and cosy in the Dullstroom winters. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the finer touches e.g. hooks for jackets/coats and stands for fishing rods. All the staff and management (Salumé, Alex, David and Lazarus) were extremely helpful and efficient with bookings and when we encountered an electrical problem. Fishing was great, dams were literally 10 meters away from Kingfisher, and we caught quite a few large trout. Kids had a blast on the farm, rowing, cycling, running. Chalets far enough from each other to ensure privacy. We will definitely pay Blue Crane another visit soon! Thank you for a memorable...

My girlfriend and I had an incredible stay at Blue Crane Farm in Dullstroom. The stunning views and peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect romantic getaway. The cozy accommodations were delightful, and the two beautiful trout dams just puts the cherry on top.

What surprised us most is how family-friendly the estate is. It's a fantastic place for families to bond with nature, explore the scenery and enjoy quality time together. The staff were warm and welcoming, making our expereince even more enjoyable. (and they are equiped to handle loadshedding 🏆)
