Garden Corner Guest House — Hotel in Emfuleni Local Municipality

I booked directly with the owner for the 11th and 19th of August 2023 at the Garden Corner Guest House and as the trusting person I am I paid for both nights before I got there. I stayed over on the 11th of August 2023 (did not eat breakfast so they saved some money) but then encountered a medical condition and I could not go back via Beaufort West and overnight at the Garden Corner Guest house. I emailed her on the Wednesday 16th of August 2023 and asked her if she can refund me. She first said it was short notice but she will make the room available again and she will then see what se can pay back. I emailed her on the 22nd of August again and she told me that she could not refund me. She did not even offer to give me 50% back - I do not recommend this...

My husband and I and two of our children rented two guest houses. Our stay was uncomfortable as the owner of the guest house was rude and did not once introduce herself or welcome us to the lodge on arrival and after leaving. Cannot believe the way she spoke to me in actual fact shouting when we did not pay the money in the morning yet we gave her all the money in the evening when we arrived home. Her guest houses are in need of improvement as the fridges are old and their were no holders in the showers for soap or shampoo and the only tv stations were SABC 1,2,3,4 . I loved my stay in Vereeniging but the guest house owner made it uncomfortable couldnt...
