Black Mountain Resort — Hotel in Free State

Upon arrival on Saturday after checking in we were given a key to our room but no one escorted us to the room as a result we got lost quite a number of times before we found the room,my husband had to carry our own luggage in and made about three trips to the car until he had to ask if there isn’t any body to help him only then did he receive help. We expected a peaceful night but from around 00:39 am there was so much noise coming from the corridor my six month old son couldn’t sleep we called reception to help deal with the noise, seem to be the hotel staff and after having spoken to the security the noise escalated and we were woken up again very early in the morning by the noise , when checking out at the reception we told the person at the desk and he informed us that there was a party going on, I found this very unfair that we can’t get to sleep yet we also paid for a peaceful night’s rest, at least when there are such events other guests need to be informed and warned in time and recompensated for such an inconvenience or rather be moved to rooms that are a bit further from the noise, We were in room 314, the taps and the aircon also make too much noise, the bathroom sink is cracked, tv remote is not working well and our sheets were torn. Staff appear very unfriendly, at the restaurant we expected the front line to at least explain to us the meal arrangement and to be seated if possible but we stood by the door for sometime not knowing were to go, the front lady is not approachable and when we finally enquired she looked...

The development of this place is is average but needs plenty of work,the service was slow and poor, don't get me started on comfortability once you have entered the room, they need to work more on impressing the costumers by trying to get the beds to look exceptional and add more modern times to it, when I got here we had to carry our bags to the room so that needs improvement. It's bad for business that you make your costumers bring their bags to their room without any help, they didn't offer any apology at all, they also have very limited options on breakfast and supper, the attraction on this place was not so well but can still improve. On the 26th of October myself, my fiance and family came to enquire about quotes for a wedding of which it was not the first time we came for quotes and two ladies promised to email all the details of which they diddnt,when we got there were welcomed bt a rude white guy who was jusrt in a hurry to tell us he had guests and couldnt help us before we could even tell him what we were there for, there were a lot of bikers who had booked out the hotel on that weekend i dknt know if rhats how you treat potential customers when you have business, i definately wont be having my wedding there, eventually he asked that we leave an email adress and just like the first staff members he diddnt bother to send anythibg Im disgusted by...
