Disappointing Experience ā Overpriced and Underwhelming
We recently stayed at Greenleaf Guest Lodge for one night at a rate of R800 per night and, unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired.
Room & Amenities:
The shower floods, making it inconvenient to use.
Basic necessities were lackingāthere was no hand soap. While there were two miniature bottles of shower gel and lotion, it hardly made up for the missing essentials.
The security gate leading to the outdoor patio was damaged and couldnāt be locked, which was a serious concern for our safety.
Breakfast:
The website advertises breakfast at R95 per person (available by pre-arrangement), but upon arrival, we were informed it was actually R120 per personāa disappointing discrepancy.
The breakfast itself was incredibly underwhelming. We were promised a traditional English breakfast consisting of two cheese grillers, eggs, bacon, and toast. Instead, we received two miniature sausages, a tiny portion of scrambled eggs, and undercooked toast. For R120, this was unacceptable and extremely poor value. We honestly recommend guests skip their breakfast and instead visit a nearby Wimpy or Spur, where youāll get a far better meal for half the price.
Facilities:
The pool was dirty and completely unappealing, adding to our overall disappointment.
In conclusion, this guest lodge is overpriced and stingy with its offerings. I would not recommend it to anyone based on our experience. The breakfast, in particular, is a waste of money and left us feeling cheated. Management should seriously reconsider their pricing and improve their offerings if they want to attract and...

The Owner Sarie, was exceptional in her communication to my wife when we had been en route from Durban to Cape Town, our journey had been marred with accidents and delays along the N3 and N5 highways. however, Sarie ensured that by the time we arrived (well past normal check in time, our rooms were ready. The check in was made even better when we saw how clean and neat the rooms were. A perfect place to beak your journey, unwind and be fresh the next day. we didnt have time to explore the guest lodge amenities, however, both my wife and I would book in at the Greenleaf...
