My stay at the Monte Christo was an absolute delight, seamlessly blending comfort and luxury for both business and leisure. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the grandeur of the entrance, which evokes a sense of "presidential" welcome. The sight of the flying flags of South Africa adds a patriotic and premium touch to the entire experience.

What truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional staff. The reception I received was incredibly warm and welcoming. Every member of the team, from the chefs to the maintenance personnel, was professional and dedicated to providing stellar service. Their genuine care and attention to detail made me feel valued throughout my stay.

The hotel itself is a haven of affordable luxury. The pricing is very reasonable for the high-quality experience you receive. My room was immaculate, offering a spacious and peaceful environment. The hotel's location just outside oftown is a major plus, giving you a beautiful experience of nature that you wouldn't normally get in a busy city.

I highly recommend taking advantage of their meal packages. The breakfast and dinner were divine, especially the steak. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, where I plan to make use of the spa facilities which I noticed they have on site.

I would not recommend booking at Monte Cristo Country Lodge to anyone. We made a booking via AirBnB and paid for the accommodation in advance in July 2022. We were contacted by Marnitz to inform us that unfortunately there is no space available for the dates booked, but that the money will he refunded. We continued contacting Marnitz to enquire when the refund will be made, but he always had an excuse, they had to follow it up with airbnb or he had to discuss it with management, but until this date (almost 4 months later) we have not received feedback from Monte Christo or our money paid back. We paid for a service that was never given to us and Monte Christo and the staff has no integrity or professionalism. Initially we would be happy even if they offered us a voucher for alternative dates, but I truly do not want to stay at Monte Christo. If this is how they treat potential customers, they certainly would not have good service when someone is staying...
