Convenient location being something around 28km north of Bloemfontein on the Modder River. Kids enjoyed themselves in the river, so safe for kids under Adult supervision. They have a few accommodation rooms available, one of which is s rondewal, 2 rooms in a double story and a couple I think, single story. I didnt go into any of the rooms so hence did not star the accommodation as I was camping. Ablutions small with 2 loo's and 2 wash basins and 2 showers, immaculately clean at all times during the weekend I was there. Stands are level, have a central dustbin for 2 - 3 stands with electricity boxes to connect to, as well as street lighting, but was not working during my stay. They have 2 washing up basins with draining rack for doing dishes. I would really recommend the resort, and they will see me again when next going to business in Bloemfontein. Rates charged were also the lowest from all the camping places I contact, so excellent value for money. With permission, small dogs also welcome, I had my Pekenese with me, and their alsatian and him played a little together. The owners also have a gorgeous sheep dog, which...

Worn out mattresses, ceiling collapsing in the corner of the kitchen, one small fan, no roof over the patio. Total run - down feeling - obviously no good management. The bed lamps cannot plug in because the plugs are situated on the opposite side of the room. The drain at the room was stinking. About 50m or so away in the caravan park, probably a bachelor party of sorts were going on with loud foul mouthed people having it on. Also not the friendliest reception on arrival. Not worth the money. Continue past to Bloem and look for other...

Found them through Google and called them we have a T5 transporter which we use for everything including sleeping. We received a friendly welcome and even got a pensioners discount. Had a very short recce as we had to collect a cheese order outside PE. The ambience was comfortable and the River promised a nice place to have a stay which we were unable to make the most of. As it's just off the N1 25 -odd km before Bloemfontein, we will most certainly utilise them on our next trip to or from Pretoria... and plan in a...
