Eagle Rock Executive Guest House — Hotel in Gauteng

Planning a funeral isn't a pleasant experience, but the team at Eaglerock guesthouse made our 10 days in South Africa a far more positive stay than it might have been. I cannot rate this guesthouse highly enough. Our rooms were well appointed, very clean, the staff polite and friendly, and nothing was ever too much trouble. I'd chosen the guesthouse initially on its cleanliness rating :) and we were not disappointed - the cleaning crew were excellent. And as we had packed in such a hurry, we used the laundry facility - a great job, and the quick turnaround was very much appreciated. We had lovely evening meals at the guesthouse and a good breakfast buffet was available every day (and the cooked breakfast was excellent too). As is usually the case, it was the little touches that were noticed and appreciated: the flowers and crystals on our table on the day of the funeral so that we had something nice to look at to cheer us up, the flowers left in my cousin's room, the "information service" on the local area, the human satnav, and putting up with us being late for every meal. I cannot thank Lucinda, Wikus, Bennie, Christina and the rest of the team enough for looking after us so well, and if I am ever in Jhb again, I'll definitely book (perhaps even use the gym this time too). In the meantime, I will sing your praises and encourage anyone travelling your way to book in; they won't be disappointed. Thank you...

3rd time staying at Eagle Rock Executive Guesthouse and it keeps delivering!! Location is spot on if you need to be near O.R. Tambo, the industrial parks, or heading into the city.

Rooms are spotless with daily housekeeping and everything works as it should. Wikus and the team are super helpful and on call 24-7. Very homely feel!

Breakfast is solid with both cooked options and lighter choices, plus espresso coffee. The gym on site is a big win and one of the reasons I always come back.

Facilities are within walking distance including barbershop and Checkers supermarket and mini mall.

We stayed here after a long flight from the UK before continuing our travels in South Africa as we had two young children with us. Would strongly recommend!! Only 15 mins from the airport, gorgeous gardens with a lovely swimming pool and water features (perfect for kids to play in!) they offered dinner as well as breakfast and made kid friendly options. We stayed in the two bedroom which was spectacular, with a HUGE bath and walk in showers. The staff are delightful, so welcoming and kind.
