Eastgate Palms Lodge — Hotel in Gauteng

I took the kids to see a show at Ellispark and wanted to stay close by and book in here, well the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the driver that drove us around had this old little mercedes, but what a nice pleasant ride and he showed us around and went the extra mile, I booked a room outside the huge house, it was practical clean and neat, the old Victorian house still had all its olden day charm and stunning antiques, The lodge is not situated in a very nice area, however it was so safe and nice there and everybody went out of their way to make the kids feel at home. Eastgate Palms Lodge is a gem located in Kensington. The guest house is very peaceful and was about a 20 min drive from the airport. The staff was friendly and inviting, plus they had great suggestions for the best restaurants, clubs and shops. We got to explore Maboneng which is roughly 5km from the guest house, R20 with an Uber and also Eastgate which was R48 with Uber. This place is disgusting. We were booked in via sleep-out for 4 adults and when we arrived they offer us 2 dbl beds in i small room that is outside the main building. It stinks of urine and looks more like a brothel than a Lodge. To think that this has a 3 star rating is a joke. When I requested my deposit back from Sleep-out I recieved an email saying it was not as I said. So I drove 9 hours to lie!!! Such dishonesty is sad...
