Fourways Gardens Guest Estate — Hotel in Gauteng

This place should be rated zero. Absolutely horrible service and dishonesty from a rude and grumpy owner who constantly advised us when that she was just a mere employee when in actual fact was the owner

Our experience started on the 8th of March 2023, initially we enquired about Fourways Apartments and not Fourways Gardens Guest. I requested a price and received one, made all payments in full. Considering this was a business stay we assumed that all was in order and we would be staying at Fourways Apartments and not Fourways Gardens

After a long journey from Durban to Gauteng we arrive to only find out that we are booked in fourways Gardens and not apartments. The only place we ever Enquired about was Fourways Apartments and we had no idea that Fourways Gardens existed.

Upon asking for a refund because we were mislead the owner came up with a host of excuses and just paid us back 50 percent of our fully paid total and yet we did not even occupy the unit for two hours, whilst waiting we made alternative arrangements for accommodation elsewhere. To the owner you are dishonest and misleading individual and we will take this matter up and recover our outstanding balance.

Hello Jean Just to say how very disappointed ☹️ of this accommodation not even one star. Why were we not expected. I had communicated with you from England and made sure all was booked and paid for our stay at your B&B self catering two bedroom cottage for 27/28th April which you confirmed and received my payment. Bathroom light not working, bedding musty/ smelly, bed side lamp fell to pieces in bedroom with single beds. Bad ant problem but all we could be told by Robert what do you expect “ this is Africa “ What a load of rubbish we have ants in England but not in the house, we have ant boxes, sprays and powders to deal with it. The place was very poor and dirty but all Robert said was because of COVID. What a load of rubbish. I would never had booked with you if I had read the reviews people had left, but I booked because of recommendation of the area you are in. If you want a four star review the place needs sorting out , kitchen cabinets general maintenance...

We stayed at Fourways Gardens Guest estate in a one bed cottage for 6 days whilst preparing for my sons wedding. I haven't lived in South Africa for 15 years and it was daunting going back. But our stay at the estate was peaceful, secure and very very relaxing. We had everything we needed in the cottage. I wasn't expecting it to be so quiet, as Fourways has become rather a bustling location, but it was so quiet it felt like we were out in the bush.
