The first time I used Glen rest country lodge was in 2022 I wanted to host a party for my husband where people could sleep over after the party as people were travelling from far ,firstly the hospitality was great and the Hosts were very welcoming and friendly, so when we were looking for a venue for my lobola celebration I didn’t hesitate to use the same place ,The way in which Sis Simangele was really supportive and helpful towards everything was so overwhelming, she is so kind, honestly I look forward to hosting more events there ,I remember sitting at the stage as the bride and seeing her help out with dishing and cleaning up the plates I was just so speechless I just want to say Thank you to the Glen rest family and hope that they keep being amazing people...
Read moreNot much to brag about. Bathroom walls and roof where covered in mildew, however after complaining they did paint straight over it. I don't think it was a permanent solution I would have thought they might scrub it down with a mildew killer and then repaint. The furniture was also a bit tired. ||||Breakfast, could be described as family style as the margarine is served straight from the plastic tub and I am not referring to single portion tubs, I am talking the kind we all buy at the supermarket and put in the fridge to make sandwiches with. No tea or coffee in the rooms no mini bar - no bottled water or soft drinks available. The guest house could do with a bit of TLC it looks like it could have been quite nice once, but a little neatening...

The two girls who run it are very friendly and are quite enthusiastic to help if there is a problem or you have a specific query.||However, my bath had an ant problem. Also they offered a courier service that was over 1/2 hour late, twice! We couldnt get hold of anyone during this time, and were left stranded on the road waiting.||The drivers they hired to collect and drop at the airport were useless!||The mini bar was also not always stocked, and the internet run out too.||If they could sort minor issues, this would be great value for money! ...
