Lovely spacious family room, with en suite 2 bedrooms, a huge living space and patio with private pool.

Service wasn't great - we booked 5 rooms and were advised that check in was at 2pm. We arrived at 2:30pm to find that none of the rooms were ready for us. We were offered free lunch at the on site restaurant while the rooms were prepared. After 3 hours...only some of the rooms were ready and others not. As an example my family only received towels after 10pm pm on the first night.

Towels seemed to be in short supply - staff would remove the towels when theu cleaned in the morning...and replace them well into the evening. So we had no towels during the day....no explanation as to why was offered when I queried.

We opted for an all-inclusive package - which included the mini bar in the rooms. The mini bar was not stocked when we eventually got our rooms on day 1....and everyday we had to nag for drinks to be added to the mini bar. There seemed to be some confusion with staff about our mini bar.

Staff tried to assist as much as possible but we were disappointed by the slow service during meal times and lack of availability of the full ala carte menu.

The GM was on leave and his stand in struggled to cope, she was clearly out of her depth and almost everyday would advise us that something that went wrong that day was due to a misunderstanding. That seemed to be the standard response...with no steps being taken to clear up misunderstandings to ensure they never recur.

Overall, we were disappointed. It is advertised as 5 star - our experience was far from that and as such and will not...

I've been to quite a few places all around the world. However this place has to be the closest that I have found to heaven ever. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave absolutely everything has been fought out. If you're driving here there's a carport for you to park your car under close to the suite or villa. The rooms do not have tellies, however the rooms have great big windowed doors that face out to the bush, so if any animals come up to the perimeter fence, you will get to see them. There is an outdoor plunge pool so that you do not have to go to the communal pool if you don't want to. There is a bath and a shower and a shower mixer for those ladies who like to wash without getting their hair wet. The food is absolutely out of this world, incredibly nice and hot and well thought out. The staff are incredibly friendly, and will do everything they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

This is a family run establishment, and you can see that. Everything has been taken care of, and well thought out to make sure that your stay is the best it can be.

Many thanks to Chase, Blessing and Brian and all the stuff for making our stay one of the best that we've ever had. I will certainly be looking forward to seeing you again in the near future. And of course we'll be telling any of your friends that are coming this way to come and give...

Golden impalas, I can confidently say it offers a five-star experience in every sense. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with exceptional hospitality and warmth that made me feel instantly at home.

The accommodations were immaculate, blending luxury and comfort perfectly. Every detail, from the décor to the amenities, was thoughtfully curated to provide a relaxing and memorable stay.

One of the highlights of my visit was the unforgettable game drives. The knowledgeable guides brought the wildlife to life with their expert insights, taking us on thrilling adventures through breathtaking landscapes. Seeing a part of the Big Five in their natural habitat was an experience of a lifetime! The lodge’s commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment made it all the more special.

The staff was outstandingly professional, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest’s experience is unforgettable. The service was prompt, and they went above and beyond to cater to every need.

The lodge’s serene surroundings, combined with its exceptional facilities and world-class game drives, make it the perfect getaway. Whether you're looking to unwind or explore, this is the place to be.

I wholeheartedly recommend this lodge to anyone seeking a top-tier hospitality experience. I can’t...

We are absolutely thrilled to be hosting our wedding at Golden Impalas next year! From the exceptional service to the stunning venue, every aspect has truly exceeded our expectations. Working with Khabeer, Samson, and Blessing has been such a pleasure; they’ve gone above and beyond to understand our vision for the four-night celebration and have played a huge role in shaping our special occasion. The entire staff at Golden Impalas have been incredibly warm and attentive. Danny and Sean, in particular, are masters at crafting cocktails tailored to your tastes, which is such a nice touch. The food is outstanding—if you get the chance, we highly recommend the chicken schnitzel and the pork ribs, both of which have become firm favourites of ours! The villas and lodges are spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, making them the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We've also had the incredible experience of going on their game drives, where we've had the unforgettable opportunity to see cheetahs, hippos, elephants, and rhinos up close. We wholeheartedly recommend Golden Impalas to anyone looking for an extraordinary getaway that combines luxury with the wild beauty of Gauteng.

We booked at Golden Impalas for 2 nights to have an authentic bush experience. We were continuously impressed over and over again - what a FANTASTIC place filled with the most kind and genuine people who truly want you to have a very one of a kind experience catered to what your needs and wants are. The facilities are impeccable and the service was so great. We truly enjoyed every moment and would love to come back again if we are back in the country. Thank you Nkozi, Charles, Samson and Khabeer for a great weekend - we cannot recommend Golden Impalas enough! If you are considering a trip to Dinokeng or looking for something near Joburg - this is an absolute must.

Whilst staying at another resort in Dinokeng, the guide suggested we try the Mattas restaurant within Golden Impalas so we decided to spend a few hours and have some dinner and sundowners there. The resort itself is awesome, well tended lawns, friendly staff, cosy ambience and amenities for kids. The let down was the restaurant, I had hopes that a five star rated place would have a fantastic dining experience but this was not the case. The food menu is very limited with its selections, poorly made and not worth the price paid per meal, no kiddies meals and The wine list is probably longer than the menu. Worth a visit but I would hard pass on Maatas restaurant
