ikamu"s lodge — Hotel in Gauteng

Terrible terrible experience! The owner treats guests like kids, walk in guests rooms and doesn't even knock. Decor lady was treated so so bad when she requested that she comes early to start working. The place was terribly cold and there were no blankets, asked for the heater and was told they don't have. Switched off electricity to one of the rooms because they were feeling cold and plugged the heater only to be told they are waisting electricity. Threw guests luggages outside while they were busy with a Pamper session in another room. I'm not a fussy person. When my people complained in the beginning I brushed it off and though, ahhh, they will get over it. But after the treatment I received myself from David, I would advise you to never consider booking this place because you will regret and would have waisted your money. The gate even get locked at night so once you are in you can't even decide to go grab a night snack because of you request he gets angry and start shouting at you. I'm so disappointed shame, and their place is really nice buy the treatment and management is just terribly...

Our family stay here was exceptional. David and his team went above and beyond to give our family a fantastic finale to our holiday. David and Géraldine have created a beautiful environment of peace, calm and tranquility, even though the lodge is only ninutes from The City, so very convenient. There is a great choice of accomodation from "quirky" to "modern chic" to suit all needs and tastes. Thoughtful and beautiful pieces of artwork are scattered around and gave great inspiration to us all. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful - David, I appologise for our grandson's hearty appetite. This is the perfect place for a few days break and RnR from city life or a stop over before your next flight (the airport is just 20 minutes away). |I highly reccomend Ikamu and hope to stay there again on our next trip to the area. David, the owner picked us up at the airport (extra charge, fair price) at 7 in the morning. Everything worked out well.
