Kyleu Bush Camp — Hotel in Gauteng

Finally we got to experience Kyleu Bush Camp. We were greeted on arrival by Peter who was very friendly and informative. This camp offers both fenced and unfenced campsites. All sites are spacious with amazing private ablution and wash up area. All sites are off grid and have solar lights in the ablution block.

You really feel like you are alone in the middle of the bush.

There is a new small splash pool which the kids enjoyed. The site also includes a free bag of wood per day which is great and ice and wood can be delivered to your campsite on request. The braai and bathrooms are cleaned daily from 10:00.

We took a drive into the unfenced camp which looks amazing and will definitely be trying this the next time we come and stay. We experienced unbelievable sunsets and Jackal calls every night to kick off the evening.

It was also lovely hearing other night sounds like Nightjars, Lions and Hyenas.

It would be nice if the fenced camp had a few buck walking around to make it feel extra bushy… other than that… it’s was a very memorable experience. Go on.. give them a try… you won’t be disappointed. Remember it’s off-grid so make sure you have what you need to power your devices.

This was pretty much the closest I've ever come to a 5-star campsite review and then didn't give 5 stars (I wish Google allowed 4.5).

The private ablution block was amazing and so clean! The socially distant campsites were just what the doctor ordered for our relaxing getaway. The staff were so incredible, always masked and responsive via email. It's hard to ask for more from a bush camp.

I have a couple varying reasons for the lost star which I won't get into her since they're so small and petty. I do plan on updating over time if they continue to deliver such amazing service as I'll definitely be going back.

I booked with Cherry on very short notice. She advised me on which camping site would suit me best for privacy. When we arrived, Peter welcomed us, gave us a quick explanation of which routes we can drive(we bought our self drive permits). Our campsite was HUGE, clean, secluded with sufficient shade trees. There's a big braai, and a smaller one. The ablution facility is great, and the shower even greater 🚿😁. Gas heated water means cloudy days don't matter. While having a shower, I watched Impala, Zebra and a Kasongo passing by. The pool area at the main camp is kept pristine, and the pool was so good after a warm day. Thanks Cherry and Peter,...
