Where to begin. We booked accommodation here in June 2025. The property yard needs a good clean, and the reception and rooms all need paint. All the glass entrances had cracked windows - that should've been our first clue to run. Our room had an unmade bed (apparently because we didn't pay for 3/4 people they don't make up the other bed). The other bed wasn't neat at all - I'm not confident that the bedding was clean following the rest of what we saw. The kitchenette leaves much to be desired. The shower had cracked tiles. There aren't any electric blankets (I specifically checked the room amenities when booking for that). I didn't want to touch the kettle, it was full of fingermarks. When we asked how we open the gate when we return after a function that night, we were told that we will be added to WhatsApp and we can just call when we're in front of the gate. In Joburg?! What made us leave was the fact that our room door handle was broken and couldn't lock and we had a function so we were going to be out until after midnight. I contacted the owner on Booking.com and asked him for at least some of my money back since we didn't use any of his water, linen or electricity. It's now 10 days later. He is still taking bookings and I'm R600 short because we had to urgently find other (safe) accommodation. Disaster! Don't waste your time to book this dodgy place.
