Mayberry Lodge — Hotel in Gauteng

This place was SPOTLESS, you couldn’t find dirt if you looked in the worst places I’m sure. Maz was very kind and welcoming. It was very peaceful though a neighbour had a cat scarer or something going off at an extremely high pitched squeal every eight or so seconds during the afternoon which drove me mad and I couldn’t go out on the patio because of it or keep the doors open as I wanted. I do think these things are only heard by certain people who have exceptional hearing though because Maz said she had never heard it and I know I have very sensitive hearing. Apart from that everything was PERFECT. You didn’t have to think about anything because it was already there. I loved it because I could have the doors and windows open throughout to let the air right through even all night. There was milk, little cereal boxes and biscuits as well as coffee etc in the kitchen which had a fridge/freezer and microwave. A lovely little table and chair set for two to eat at which I did though I was alone, by the door leading to the private patio where I could have sunbathed nude and no one would have known or disturbed me. Lovely plants and flowers and….just LOVELY. A spacious bathroom with bath, shower, towels, body washes, soap, shampoo and conditioners, a nice amount of light and mirrors, again I was able to have the patio door open while I bathed. The bed was comfortable, sleeping was nice for as long as I wanted with no startling disturbances and a tv you could watch in/on bed or sit on the little chair next to it. Wi fi was good with instructions in the book in the kitchen as to how to hook up as well as any other information that may be wanted. It was really close to the beach, walking distance within minutes as well as The Seal pub but not close enough for noise, it’s one road from Selsey high street. You couldn’t fault this place. A relief to have a very peaceful few days away with no worries to trouble me. Thank you for a lovely stay...

I had a very bad experience from the Owner Sibusiso, who was very arrogant and rude. He does not listen the client. When we arrived at the venue he moved us to Balboa park to his other apartment. When we arrived at the apartment, it was dirty, the bedding filthy, the previous client stuff were still in the cupboards. There was only one clean towel for me and my wife. Toilet basin tap was broken. We couldn't sleep there and he refused to move us to other alternative place or refund us till now. His response is that, we can take him to court, because he won't refund us. We booked from 24th to 27th Sep 2021. I felt as if I'm scammed and this is the first such thing takes...

I've never dealt with such incompetence and poor management in my whole life, the correct word is USELESS actually . The owner treats his customers with such impunity and disrespect. Very unprofessional, I made a booking in my name for my cousin and upon arrival in Balboa the place was filthy to say the least. Instead of offering a refund or handling the query he threatens to take us to court.
