We booked this accommodation because it was advertised as only 1.7 km from the wedding venue we were attending. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a 15-minute drive, with access via a poorly maintained gravel road that was very difficult to navigate with a sedan. I believe management should clearly state this, as it could be a challenge for many guests. On arrival, we were welcomed by friendly staff, and the gardens were beautifully designed and well maintained. Our room made a good first impression, with a comfortable king-size bed, quality bedding, and good pillows. The setting around the pool was tranquil and relaxing. However, several issues dampened our stay. The advertised hot tub was out of order, which was disappointing. Even more concerning was the water supply. On the first evening, there was no hot water until we complained, after which water was restored temporarily. By the next morning, there was no water at all, and we were told to use a bathroom in the main house. That bathroom was in poor condition, with missing tiles, mold on the ceiling, and unusable fittings. Breakfast, included in our package, was served buffet-style but with no staff around to assist or explain. While the pineapple and strawberries were fresh and juicy, some fruit (like the apples) were already discolored. The scrambled eggs and bacon were decent, but the Vienna sausages were a very cheap alternative. In the room, we also noticed there was no milk provided to go with the coffee and tea. Overall, this property has a lot of potential, with lovely gardens, friendly staff, and comfortable bedding. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency, poor maintenance, and small but important details made the stay disappointing. With proper attention to these issues, it could be an excellent option — but for now, it falls short.

The google location can really confuse and get drivers lost. The place needs a little maintenance but its great, and the view at summer is breathtaking There nearest shop, which is a kwik spar is about 1km away so not having a car would need you to come with everything bought. When staying there, there aren't any kitchen appliances in the rooms so food would either be Braai meat and non problematic sides or the host do cook for guess, at a price of course.

Lovely hideout just out of Pretoria. Tranquil environment, friendly staff, safe and delicious food. Amenities include a spa, beautiful swimming pool and garden, venue hall, jacuzzi and garden pond. I'd definitely recommend for a staycation or vacation. There are a lot of game reserves and rivers just minutes away

Very beautiful venue, relaxing and rejuvenating. The massage was very amazing. Food was too great. The only problems was the pool was not working and it was hot… The service was also not the best, especially when we first arrived. They were so unprepared, we had to wait for them to clean the spa, bring the gowns and other things needed, our lunch table was also set up when we arrived, we had to stand there and just watch them setup, welcome drinks were also not upon arrival, they were moving so slow like they are being forced. Eventually everything came together and we...

Went to Mixo to surprise mom for her birthday. The day before our booking, they allowed us to go check out the venue and they even set up a special table for us to find when we got there. The staff was helpful and friendly throughout. The massage therapists went beyond their mandate, even took the time to take pictures of us on the day. The only downer for me was the loooooong piece of gravel road we had to travel to get there otherwise I'd highly...
