The owners of this establishment are some of the hardest working and attentive people I have known. Elna went out of her way to attend to me when I took ill. She and her husband could not do enough for me. The rooms are comfortable but basic; however, the floors are very noisy and the walls paper thin and penetrated by the slightest noise from two bedrooms away. The beds are comfortable and the ceiling fan was effective. A bar fridge is provided however, the TV is an old small CRT with an indoor antenna. Reception is poor and restricted to SABC channels. There is a large flat screen TV in the beautifully appointed common room. The internet was intermittent and unreliable. Not all rooms had ensuites; mine did although something leaked. Breakfast is fine. The establishment is very isolated from Centurion and not easy to find. There are very little facilities nearby. However, there is wonderful swimming pool and beautifully kept gardens. The gardens and surrounds are more peaceful than the bedrooms. I would stay here again solely because I like the family very much and am so appreciative of their sterling efforts. I believe the prices when compared with the other places I stayed at in South Africa may be a bit expensive. I think R300 for a single room rather than R350 is more appropriate.||Suggestions: brighten up the rooms; sound proof the bedrooms; improve the internet; update TV sets and service.||||Please support this couple if you can but understand that the facilities are basic. Encourage them...although ask for a lesser rate until there are improvements. I wish them both well...they are such a hardworking couple doing their best for the...
Read moreWe were booked in, in a room in the main house, the smell of the house really put us off, it really stinks. We then asked if there were not any other rooms available and slept in one of the outside self catering units. But unfortunately the stunk clung to the bedding. The mats that was put beside our bed and in the bathroom were really dirty. The breakfast was poor with no effort put into it, jams put out looked dirty, with a few poor looking pieces of fruit and one cereal holder that was empty for two days. I also sent an e-mail with previous arrangements for the breakfast because my husband was on a special diet, but no attention was given to that. The place does not live up to its potential. The rooms are not bad, cleaning and hygiene and smell...
Read moreThe worst B&B I have stayed in. Food left over from someone staying in the room on the 4th Oct was still in the fridge when I checked in on 8th. No toilet paper in the loo - no soap. The place is so dusty - I suffered all night sneezing due to it- on the mantle in the lounge it was shocking to see all the dust. The host was unfriendly and lacked any people skills....
