Stayed here as part of a family reunion over the Women's Day weekend. Facilities are pretty much what one might expect from a 3 star lodge. My strong criticisms are the following:
We were 6 woman celebrating 50th birthday. Quiteness of the place was amazing. The stay was not good, no heaters and it is middle of winter, showers did not have glasses or shower plastic, one of the holes in the shower did not work, water ended up like a dam after one person had showered. Supper was revolting, we did not eat and we were charged full amount, not even meet us half and say we should pay half a bill. Ista the lady at the reception is not a Chef, she should not cook. The Massage people took one towel by mistake and yet she changed us for it on top of paying for supper we did nit eat. Setting 9f dinning table was terrible, there was no salt, pepper and a jug of water. Nah I will not consider them again. They must hire a chef. Bed were old, making squeeky noise. But the staff two black ladies and two black guys were nice and welcoming...
Read moreThe room and chalet were clean and neat, the place looked fairly nice as well. I didn't like that the chalets don't have a TV, the toilet wasn't working, you have to load water in it yourself, the shower head wasn't taking out the water properly as well. I mentioned to the lodge manager that I'm having a birthday braai for my child there, so we would have vistors during the day and they will be leaving after and she advised that I would be charged R250 additionally for my guests, however she wasn't specific in her information that I would be charged R250 per guest.
