OR Tambo Guest House — Hotel in Gauteng

Our family room was very spacious and easy to move around in. It was well maintained, well lit and clean. The veranda was lovely and clean. The bathroom had a tub, which was great for a toddler to splash around in. We were grateful for the bathroom supplies as well as tea, and coffee supplies. The staff were very accommodating and even gave us milk at night as we ran out and the cleaning staff forgot to refill. Breakfast was delicious and professionally catered. We loved the extra touch of cereals, muesli, fruit and yoghurt. ||On the whole a pleasant experience. ||I think it would be wise to remove the extra cupboards as they took up too much space and could be replaced with a small dining table to add to the functionality of the room. We were eating dinner off our bed pedestals and a small dining room table would have been perfect. Also I think remove the office chairs and replace with regular sitting chairs as it took away from the 4 star rating. Review for OR Tambo Guest HouseI recently stayed at OR Tambo Guest House for three nights and had a great experience. Since my flight arrived very late at night, the staff kindly suggested a driver to pick me up, which was incredibly thoughtful and made my arrival stress-free.The guest house was impeccably clean (5/5), and the service was excellent (5/5) – the staff was friendly, accommodating, and attentive throughout my stay. The location was convenient (4/5), being close to the airport, though not much else is within walking distance.The amenities were decent (4/5), offering all the basics I needed for a comfortable stay. While the aesthetic wasn’t my favorite (3/5), it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Excellent stay

Liked · I had a very late flight. Mrs. Loraine was so kind as to call follow up and see if I am doing fine. She waited up for me and checked me in personally. That is excellent service. South Africa with loadshedding and everything that goes hand in hand with that. I was informed that the whole of Johannesburg had a water problem and not just left in the dark with what could have been a very irritating scenario.

Thankfully I could enjoy a lovely warm shower before bed. Thank you very much for transparency and excellent service. My room was clean, linen fresh and the bed very comfortable. Again two bottles drinking water in the fridge and milk. So much better than coffee creamer. Breakfast was good. Having a severe allergy to gluten, they had more than enough options at my disposal and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
