I cannot fault this beautiful lodge at all! We spent the long weekend in December there, wanting to show our Romanian son-in-law the wilds of Africa, and the Old Spot rounded off a wonderful trip beautifully.|We took a chance and arrived at the lodge earl (naughty!). Our hostess was extremally accommodating to us and even apologised as they were still sanitising the room! The chalet is beautiful and the amenities are perfect. We loved the lack of a television, making sure that we took advantage of the animal sounds the bush brings. Everything you need for self-catering is thought of, the beds are comfortable and the double shower and luxurious bath well appreciated. The birdlife around the chalets is vast and we even saw an African Wildcat one night.|I would highly recommend that you book a game drive. We got to see 4 rhinos and baby warthog and learnt a lot from our friendly and informative guide. |Highly recommended and...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Scoops Owl property at Owl Spot and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning natural beauty that surrounded this lovely bush retreat. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed to enjoy a relaxing stay.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. They were also very knowledgeable about the local area and all the recommendations we were provided with were absolutely spot on.
The romantic set up on arrival, sunset game drive, couples massage and picnic, set the perfect tone for a couple trying to reconnect outside of kids and busy schedules. The cherry on top was definitely all the animals visiting the watering hole in our “backyard”.
An awesome and wholesome experience all round. The...
Read moreThis is a hidden Jewel and by far one of the best places I have ever stayed. In fact, this is my new favourite destination. It is self catering, fully fully equiped, clean, and quiet. Very very strict no noize policy that is enforced when idiots go to the bush and bring the city noise with them. This is my nr 1 attraction. If you are going to miss your tv and music, stay home. ‼️
It is private, homely, comfortable, well kitted out and the game is plenty, all while you are sitting on the Patio. You don't even need to drive anyware if you don't feel like it.
The Lions, Jackle and Hyena calls at night was unmatched from where I ever stayed, including inside the Kruger Park. It was non stop.
Bird Life is some of the best anyware I ever went.
Fantastic destination if you love the bush, peace and quiet, and its on your doorstep if you stay in PTA or...
