What a wonderful experience we had hosting a 54th school reunion at Pheasant Hill on Saturday 16th Sept 2023!

We received excellent service right from the very start. Searching for a suitable venue in and around Pretoria on the internet, we contacted five venues the same evening. Pheasant Hill responded immediately the following morning, followed up with a call from Pieter later in the afternoon to set up a date for a meeting. We received a reply from one of the other venue’s a week later, and no reply from the other three. This already made a great impression on us. Good service from the very start is of the greatest importance for anyone planning a function.

On arrival for our first meeting, we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the venue and gardens! We were warmheartedly welcomed by Pieter, who made us feel at ease. We immediately knew that it was the most perfect venue with no need to search any further. The professional service we received from him was exceptional throughout the entire planning of this event. Although it was only a small function, we felt it was of great importance to them, and we received way more than expected.

What else can we say; everything was perfect, from start to finish. The décor and setting of the table was beautiful, the food exceptional, the venue staff friendly and very helpful, the rooms beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the breakfast divine!

We recently had the pleasure of having our wedding at Pheasant Hill, and I must say, it was truly an unforgettable experience! The venue itself is absolutely stunning, surrounded by awesome views that provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony and reception. The elegant decor and charming atmosphere created a warm and inviting space for everyone to enjoy.

The food was nothing short of amazing! Each dish was crafted with care and bursting with flavor, leaving all the guests raving about the delicious options. It was clear that the culinary team put a lot of thought into the menu, making the dining experience one of the highlights of the day.

I also want to extend a huge thank you to the DJ, who kept the energy high. The music perfectly matched the vibe of the celebration, ensuring everyone had a fantastic time.

A shout-out to the staff for their exceptional service. They worked seamlessly behind the scenes, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. A special shout out to our wedding coordinator Pieter, helping us plan our wedding all the way from the UK.

The attention to detail and professionalism made the day feel effortless, allowing the us and guests to relax and fully enjoy the celebration.

I am SO disappointed 😞 We booked in, we waiting ages at reception for someone to appear, even though they let us in. This is supposed to be a 4 star establishment but nobody assisted us to take the suitcases up the stairs. My husband is going in for a back op this week , so this lack of service made a big difference in this case. The TV was not working and one of the reasons I booked at this establishment was so that we had a TV. My husband battles to sleep without the white noise so this is a deal breaker for us. Plus, when we arrived back at our accommodation at 9pm, we had to wait 10 minutes for them to let us in. Cherry on the top, the toilet didn't work so we had to use kettle water during the night to flush our toilet. What's worse? When I brought this to the owners attention, he snuffed at me, took the key, and sent someone to fix the toilet. I wouldn't have given them a bad review as it's not in my nature, as I too, am a business owner. The fact that the owner didn't even have the decency to apologize for the horrible experience, makes me realise that he really doesn't care. All good when things are going well but horrible reaction when things are sour! Often it's not what happened, but how a business owner reacts to a problem, that makes all the difference in the world. Pheasants, you WILL not see me again!! Really displeased...
