The Wesley Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Gauteng

I will not recommend nor will I be returning.

The place is aesthetically appealing but the service is POOR. The staff lack basic hospitality etiquette and they seem disinterested in providing any level of service. Probably lack hospitality training.

Let me take you through my experience: I booked the Executive Suite and made a special request which they confirmed would be delivered. On our arrival, my request was not honoured. They made up for it which appreciated but they'd already killed the experience I'd planned for my wife unfortunately. When we arrived there was no one at reception desk and when the hostess finally arrived she showed us to our room but didn't show us in or tell us about anything about our suite and what is available (which is the norm for a 4 star boutique hotel.)

The breakfast was a disastrous cherry on top. The lady serving didn't care to share the menu but immediately wanted to take the order as soon as we sat without the slightest knowledge of what's being served. Our meal finally came and this 4-star boutique hotel ran out of mushrooms which the lady failed to tell us beforehand and didn't feel the need to apologise or offer a substitution.

On checking out the staff was cold and didn't care to ask about our experience during our stay which is also the norm when checking out of a hotel.

In closing, I am convinced that The Wesley does not train their staff and have just let that place run itself and rely on their historical reputation to...

I hosted my daughter’s matric dance pre-drinks event at the Wesley Botique Hotel and as part of this, I had also booked one of their suites for my daughter to get ready in. The hotel is beautiful and intimate and the suite I booked was just breathtaking. The level of service I received from the hotel particularly Cassidy, was excellent. Cassidy was an absolute pleasure to deal with from our very first interaction. She responded to all my emails promptly and always made herself available to meet with me at the hotel for viewing and planning with my decor service provider. The event was a suprise for my daughter and Cassidy went out of her way to ensure that it’s kept as such when my daughter arrived at the hotel for her supposedly “matric dance photoshoot”. As always, I had a delightful stay at the guesthouse! The staff, incredibly friendly and warm, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrive. The rooms were immaculate, featuring high-quality bedding, which I absolutely love - not a thing out of place. Every need is catered to, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming experience time and time again. I highly recommend the Wesley to anyone looking for a home away from home!
