Earth Wind & Ocean — Hotel in George

Earth, Wind and Ocean has to be one of the best properties I've stayed in here in South Africa. This property exceeded my expectations and I would say the pictures you find on the internet don't do it any justice. Not only is the property amazing but the owner/manager is a very gracious host. When Franck met us to hand over the keys, he introduced himself with so much enthusiasm. He made us feel welcomed. He took an interest in each one of us and took his time to orientate us around the property. From the minute he pushed the sliding doors open, our jaws were on the floor with sheer satisfaction. This property is not only in immaculate condition but it is also well-equipped with views that meander for miles and miles. The breeze coming from the ocean hits you instantly and for us, signaled the beginning of what would be the best girls' vacation we've had in a while. Our stay was superior by every measure. It needs to be said that the road to the property is a challenging one. Franck did warn us about it beforehand and he personally met us at the gate to help us navigate that threatening terrain. But we soon learned that after a few drives on that road, it does get a little easier and like most challenging roads, the views you arrive at make it all worthwhile - you will quickly forget about that little discomfort. Earth, Wine and Ocean 8 is a dream house with breathtaking views over the spectacular gorge that leads to Ballots Bay.||||The drive to the house is not for the faint-hearted – it takes a couple of attempts to get comfortable navigating the road, especially at night. But once you arrive, the views make it all worthwhile. The setting is peaceful, quiet, and wonderfully tranquil.||||The house itself is beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The water pressure is great with piping hot showers, fresh bath towels are provided, and the convenience of a washer and dryer is a real bonus. We also made use of the fireplace, which heated the entire house perfectly and added to the cozy atmosphere.||||Location-wise, the house feels tucked away in nature yet is only about 10–15 minutes from the main road. WOW, WOW, WOW!! What a house! You are surrounded with the best views of nature and the ocean that you have ever seen! The house is super clean and has almost every appliance and household item that you could need. The beds are comfortable and the house is stylish! You are situated in the middle of the George Private Nature Reserve and have access to Ballots Bay, a private rock beach.
