We had our family of 17 stay at Fernhill Guest farm occupying 3 cottages and 1 tent over the New Years period.||||Positives:||- Farm life providing complete freedom for kids to run around in a safe environment and be involved with farm animals.||- Our tent was perfectly located in amongst the trees/nature.||- Central communal braai area for larger groups.||- Once you are there you can enjoy the surroundings with no need to go anywhere else, park your car and relax.||- Comfortable beds with quality linen.||- Free/ fresh milk.||- Delicious home made ice creams available to purchase.||- Not far from popular beaches.||||Negatives:||- No drinking water provided and no warning on website about this.||- Bad quality towels||- Lack of communication with guests and ability to handle situations in a professional manner regarding our New Year celebration resulting in our evening ending on a bad note just after midnight.||- Refrigerator space minimal.||- Hot water kept switching off.||- No hot water for the outside sinks to wash dishes||- Walking routes poorly marked.||- A family tent to accommodate 4 was promised to us when we booked but closer to the time when asked about it we were informed they hadn't got around to building it.||- No lighting around pathways/boardwalks to tents. Solar lights would be ideal for these so you don't fall off the boardwalk trying to get to your tent.||||Loads of potential to be an awesome experience if certain hospitality details are focused on. Small things like replacing the candles between the changing over of guests and offering new towels should guests stay for longer than 3 days as an example.||||Kids had...
