I was in two minds about writing this review but it is important as I don't want another woman to go through the experience I had. It was was good, being in nature , the animals , the teepee was cool the property has such potential but maintenance is needed. Forest Harmony is a great stop over but not equipped for a long term stay. No running water nearby to wash your dishes, communal kitchen available but expect a dish pile up, shower broke and was left broken so I had to shower on the other side of the property. Come prepared and if you are thinking of doing part exchange be very clear of what your job/s will be and work it out as a business transaction so it is fair. It can be an enjoyable experience unfortunately mine wasn't. My deal with Crosby was to do part exchange part rental of teepee which looking back was misleading. I did not realize delousing his hair would be part of it and as I had no form of transport I felt I better do as asked without hesitation or I may be asked to leave. It is very important to share my experience so it does not happen another person as I was treated unfairly and poorly and in an undignified manner. On my last day I offered to wash the dogs , I wanted to give them a little gift and I ran out of time. Crosby asked me to delouse his hair for the 3rd time. I politely said I would like to prioritize the dogs because I had limited time . I did not have to do anything but clean my teepee and pack but really wanted to help the dogs. After asking me to delouse his hair for a third time ,I suggested he shave his head , he swore at me , then told me he was my boss and I was to do what was expected on the land. I told him I shouldn't have to delouse hair, he then told me to leave. Thankfully I was . I then got a message saying, " Sorry you choose to end it this way, actually thought you were joking and may you find a place where you can shave whoever's head you wish and decide on priorities for others ." I then got blocked. Crosby that is just narcissistic behaviour and I am disgusted. I am expecting an abusive reply to this message but this is my truth and it is important that I share...
Read moreForest Harmony is a truly fantastic place! While a bit of tidying up amd fixing some features it would enhance the experience, it’s important to remember that this is an eco-stay more like glamping than a traditional getaway.
I stayed in the Hobbit House, and what a magical little retreat it was! My stay was nothing short of delightful. The management is incredibly friendly and helpful; they even took me on a tour of the vegetable garden, encouraging me to use the fresh produce rather than buying from the supermarket. Along the way, I learned fascinating and memorable insights about the local fauna and flora and their uses.
The nights were beautifully silent, with no disturbances except for a nearby tent where someone played soft, tranquil guitar music, adding to the atmosphere in the most wonderful way.
And the stars? They reached out as if to kiss my cheek!
Forest Harmony truly lives up to its name, offering peace, nature, and a sense of connection. I would absolutely love to...
