We stayed here for 2 nights but should have done more! Situated in the Crags above Plettenberg Bay this property is different and charming, offering stunning views. We were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to the 3 bedroom villa and WOW what a place. With its own infinity swimming pool with amazing views over the foliage below. Monkeys roam the gardens and came in the morning to visit.

The rooms have the ability to have a BBQ cooked for you on your own deck. This is a fantastic experience and great value, at the villa you have the benefit of a fire pit and the choice of eating in the dining/kitchen area or out on the terrace. Breakfasts here were huge with a wide choice of fruits and cakes followed by a selection of cooked breakfasts.

So many things to do are within a 10-minute drive such as wine tasting, elephant experience, monkey land, and the bird sanctuary. For the thrill-seekers, there is bungy jumping, paragliding, river rafting you name it there is something for everyone. If you are looking for a good beach then consider Keurboom Beach. Perfect for catching some rays but equally a stunning beach to walk.

The staff are equally attentive and welcoming offering help and suggestions on how to get the best from your stay. Easy to find and a perfect stop on the Garden Route. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, just book one more night...

We had a wonderfully beautiful stay at Hog Hollow Country Lodge for (unfortunately only) two nights. The suites are tastefully and comfortably furnished, making you feel at home immediately. The view of the forest is breathtaking, which can also be enjoyed from the wonderful pool. The breakfast is abundant, fresh, and of excellent quality. The dinner and wine selection were also fantastic. The daily car wash is also a great amenity (especially since our car was very dirty due to our drive through the De Hoop Reserve). However, the excellent service of the staff particularly stands out. All employees are incredibly accommodating, friendly, and professional without ever being intrusive. During breakfast, we were provided with additional relevant information for our planned activities, and a driver was organized for our planned dinner in Plettenberg. When I injured my leg after hiking at Robberg and asked for some bandages, my wound was immediately treated, and they inquired about my well-being the next day. A big thank you to Michelle, Fidelia and the rest of the staff for everything! We will definitely come back. I advise everyone traveling along the Garden Route to make a stop here for a few nights. It is...

We had such a fantastic stay at Hog Hollow and we were actually pretty blown away by the location and facilities. It was such a lovely and welcomed stop on our journey across South Africa. All of the staff were wonderful and friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you, be that sorting out laundry or giving directions. It’s really easy to find and there’s plenty of parking available. Breakfast was substantial and good quality. So too was dinner. And we were occasionally visited by monkeys staring at us through the window. It feels a shame to only give this place 4 stars as the staff and the amenities are exceptional. But when making fair comparisons with similar properties then it’s just the slightly tired rooms that make it miss the mark. The room did offer stunning, private and uninterrupted views across the valley. This should in no way put you off and I would recommend to anyone that they should stay here. We visited in August (winter) and whenever we sat outside someone would come and light the log fire and offer warm drink (or alcohol to warm us up!) loved it. Thank you...

We stayed for 4 nights. The front of house staff were extremely friendly, the food was very good and accomodation superb. They will even wash your car. Stunning views from the balcony across the forest to the mountains beyond. A small wood burning fire, in our room, came in useful when the temperature dropped. I would have scored it a 5 but following an attempted break in by a baboon, the cleaners failed to clean the decking properly despite several requests. Be prepared for monkeys playing on your roof. You can walk from the lodge to the Birds of Eden. 45-50 minutes one-way, but be prepared for a climb. The lodge are happy to come pick you up if you don't fancy a return trip.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hog Hollow! The serene atmosphere made it feel like we were immersed in the jungle, surrounded by the soothing sounds of monkeys and birds chirping—it was incredibly relaxing. The food was outstanding, and we highly recommend trying the seafood and the lamb curry—both were absolutely delicious! To top it all off, we had the most amazing massage with Josephine, aka "Magic Hands." If you have the time, it's an experience you shouldn't miss. We can't wait to come back and enjoy this little slice of paradise again! Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
