Ichibi Wilderness. — Hotel in George

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of December 2018 staying in room 4. This is such a fabulous place set amidst a breathtaking setting overlooking the lake. My room had its own balcony and I spent many hours just relaxing and reading.||The room itself is very luxurious and all guests have the whole lodge to themselves- there is a very large and comfortable living room along with a fully stoked honesty bar.||The breakfasts in the morning are cooked to order and are tasty and substantial.||Ichibi is located just outside of Wilderness on the road to Knysna and is a perfect place to base yourself when exploring the region.||Marcus and staff are always at hand to make sure you have everything you need and Marcus can make dinner reservations at any of the eateries in Wilderness.||Special mention to Blessing who made sure I had everything I needed on a daily basis.||This is a fabulous place run by people that care and I would 100% recommend this to anyone who requires somewhere to stay on the Garden Route.||I will...

Our stay with Linda and Marcus was very nice, we felt at home, Marcus gave us a lot of tips and information and was very helpful in all other matters. His breakfast was individual and prepared with a lot of love and creativity. Although the N2 (road) is very close, we did not notice the traffic. The lodge is situated on a hill in the middle of nature with wonderful views of a lake district. The rooms are modern and comfortably furnished. The beds offered very good sleep quality. The bathroom was very spacious the shower very pleasant. Room and bathroom were cleaned very clean daily.|The common areas and the spacious terrace offered a lot of space for relaxation and quiet but also for meeting and contact with other guests. It was our best place to stay on our 3 week South Africa trip....

An absolutely stunning place. The views over the lake are breath taking. With small boutiques like this the service is really important and Marcus the host was clearly a pro. He made us feel so welcome.|| ||Once comment is that taxis are quite hard to find from here and the centre isn't walkable so if you fancy a drink book one in advance or ask Marcus to book you one (he certainly wont mind!).
