Lairds Lodge Country Estate — Hotel in George

We arrived at Lairds Lodge after being on safari and it was ideal for chilling. This is a beautiful house with wonderful gardens. The swimming pool is in a lovely part of the estate and has plenty of chairs. The staff were all friendly and cheerful and go out of their way to give you excellent service.||The breakfasts were amazing with a large self service buffet and then a big choice if you wish to have a full cooked breakfast. We had dinner in the hotel one evening and that too was lovely.||Our room was spacious with tea and coffee facilities and complimentary cake.||It is ideally situated if you want to visit Plettenburg Bay and we also visited the Robberg Nature reserve and Birds of Eden. We came across Lairds Lodge by a chance search on the internet, and we are so happy that we did! We stayed for 4 nights so we could base ourselves in this lovely place in order to explore the local area. From the moment we arrived, the staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. The Lodge is beautifully presented, and peaceful, and our room was really clean and comfortable. But the real highlight was the restaurant. The food was excellent! Our host, Lesley came and chatted with us at breakfast every morning, and her recommendations for places to visit were spot on! I loved Lairds Lodge, I wish i could remember the names of all the staff, i think one was Eddie, apologies if i got that right but they were all so welcoming and fun and helpful, it felt like we were living with friends and they certainly know how to do good hospitality. The country estate was beautiful and inside quite quirky, in a good way. Our room was great with ensuite, it was very spacious with its own outside seating area, There were lots of different areas to sit out for a drink or by the pool, everything was stunning.
