Lombard Villa — Hotel in George

As you can see from other reviews - do not stay here! Save yourself the pain of dealing with these rude owners. We rented the entire house for my family to stay in and firstly the kitchen was not equipped. One could not even make filter coffee. The pool is in a bad state. But worst of all was having to deal with the rude owners after the stay- they have made up all sorts of reasons not to refund the deposit, some of which were INCREDIBLY crude and insulting and completely untrue. Unfortunately we booked with them directly and not through a platform, so recourse is challenging. Seems a scam to keep your deposit....

The Villa itsself is quite amazing and rooms were comfortable. The housekeeper Benard is a super nice guy who is doing a great job and helpful with everything. Why we wouldn’t recommend it: We looked for a place to stay with a pool. and this pool is not useable at all. Many tiles are missing and mouldy and even when it was cleaned on our second day the water quality was bad. no filter running, just standing water on a too low level. When we arrived Benard was already waiting for us at the front door. He showed us our rooms and explained the use of the kitchen and communal areas, he was very friendly and professional. The view around the house and from our rooms were breathtaking. The Villa was clean, functional and very spacious. Its about 15 - 20 min from Plett, we were not bothered by this, as we enjoyed the quietness that Lombard Villa offered, but if you have teenager's that want to be in the center of Plett, keep...
