Myrtles Retreat — Hotel in George

My husband , me and x2 children spoke to a gentleman to book a room for the night , my parents phoned me and asked if we can pick them up at George airport, unknowingly my parents already booked a room in George for us , we were upfront about the arrangement and didn’t even use the premises or facilities.we payed for the room for the night in full and ask the gentleman “clerk” if we can get a refund as we need to drive to George he then took my details and said the owner one Mrs “Moolman” is overseas and he can’t find the refund option and will refund me in full once she returned, it’s a week later and I still have no refund , owner is very rude… DONT STAY HERE , BAD...

Myrtle and Peter are friendly hosts. They really go all the way to help with accommodation. We stayed 16 days. Their rooms are fairly priced. We hiked the Alikreukel and visited the Blombos Museum and Kasselhoop Cheese Farm and the Olive Farm, done Kayaking and went to Skulpiesbaai and Lappiesbaai and the beach at the harbour and the Preekstoel beach. We drobe through from PE for one night stay. Check put time clearly states 11am. My husband is on his way back from Worcester and would be on time to collect me before 11am. The owner knocked on my room door, 10:10. Asked me to please leave the room and sit outside while the cleaner puts new bedding. I am completely shocked. And while i am writing this its still only 10:25am Most definitely will never come back...
