Parkside Guesthouse — Hotel in George

My recent stay at Parkside Guesthouse was a first and very pleasant experience. I was greeted by the guesthouse owner who immediately makes one feel right at home. The rooms are generally facing the pool and lounge area. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean with great wifi signal. The bathroom I found to be clean and very spacious as well. Whilst coffee/tea facilities was available in the room I did miss a small bar fridge. You do however have access to the kitchen area and fridge. The ensuite bathroom includes a door for privacy however the shower itself does not have a door. This can become breezy whilst taking a shower. The bed was really comfortable and additional blankets were available for colder months. I unfortunately did not have breakfast due to a very early checkout but was offered a breakfast pack. The owners also owns a fish and chips shop which provides something different if you choose not to eat at the guesthouse. Whilst my stay was only one night I found the place pleasant and definitely worth another visit. If you in the area please visit. As always...

This place is a tranquil haven for anyone that wants to get away from the hussle and stress of city living. You will have all the amenities that you have at home aircon and wifi, very modern and the hostess is very friendly and flexible to your needs. Ilona comes and do checks that everything is to your satisfaction that personal touch and she makes you feel like family. The staff is friendly and professional and the food is great. Very friendly, receptionist to host us with welcoming real SA country breakfast! In winter would be more pleasant in cold linen for electric blankets instead of just thick heavy warmer blankets & airconditioning, but were still grateful. Not complaining just a thought. Othwerwise if elderly people with thin walls just think it could become little noisy in rooms late if the loud ones book in. It was still pleasant & wonderful to enjoy the snow view on mountains!
