Overall the property is beautiful and well kept and the food they serve is delicious. My only complaint would be the service. I had asked the front desk for an extra towel and the guy who was working that night refused to give me one. He was more interested in talking to his friend rather then helping me out. Another person who was standing behind me asked if there was a house keeper onsite to help me with my request and again he said they all went home fore the day and he couldn't help me. So, I decided to write my expirence on the notebook they keep in the front lobby for guest to write in only to find out the next day that someone ripped out the page I had wrote my experience on(you could clearly see it was ripped out). I have never been to a hotel that denied a guest an extra towel whether it's a 3 star or a 5 star, it's just bad practice. I had other issues but very minor. I could've told the owners of the lodge about my experience (they were staying at the lodge the same time I was) but I thought I'd handle it the appropriate way and that was through manegment. I later told the manager what had happened and I left my email with him and he told me he'd reach out to me to let me know the issue was handled but never did. Had he took the time out of his day to contact me I would not be writing this negative review. It's sad because I really wanted to come back but the service wasn't so good so for that reason I will not be returning to...

The free wifi is included and widely advertised. It is visible on my computer but cannot connect. So there is no telephone in the room. I phone reception from my cell.... sorry for the inconvenience, there is not internet in the rooms.
In the restaurant I asked one waiter to please change the music after the same song played six times over. He did nothing. I then went to the restaurant manager who listened and changed it over. Come on.... did nobody else hear that? who is in charge of music, how did that even happen?
I go to my room... I received a remote for the dstv, but the tv is not the receiving mode for the dstv. But there is not telephone so one can phone the 24 hr on duty reception. I really did not want to walk the few hundred meter to the reception.... So without wifi and without dstv..... in a room without an aircon.
Come on guys.... this is supposed to be 4 star. I am a proud South African but not proud among a lot of overseas guests.
Very disappointed in the place to say the very least after I looked forward to my stay. I feel robbed.....

Read moreWould not recommend to use for weddings. We are very disappointed with the communication at Hannah Lodge. Me and my fiancé both send emails to Hannah lodge asking more information about their wedding packages. My partner never received a email back while my email was several days later containing misinformation. I asked for the correct information and a follow up email to ask whether they received our previous emails. The email we received back just stating that they had to ask the higher ups and we had to have patients. (We never received the correct information) After several days we decided to call, that phone call said that the person responsible was on leave but they will give us a second email and this person will answer within a day or two. We are now several weeks later and neither Hannah lodge nor this second person ever responded to our emails. So either they do not want to do weddings or their communication...
