Lepêllê Lodge — Hotel in Greater Tubatse Local Municipality

Stayed in so called Family Chalet which was lovely.... But it's signed as Rondavel, and poor communication about this which meant we drove a 10 km journey along a road that was too rough for a little corolla! No mention of this it other arrangements on any website. Need a higher clearance car for all roads esp to the Rondavels......we bottomed out many many times and had to walk 3 people the 1.5km out the next morning! Access to Lodge is complex needing phones to be answered but few ever were....and communications need to improve about where to go on arrival as a night watchman waits at the chalet for you but you need to pay in main building!! Chalet itself was lovely, lodge was pretty a d very chilled with nice views and great pool. If road was sorted AND communications improved would be...

Location is very difficult to get to, gravel road for 10kms and nobody notifies you that some of the gates you’re going to have to step out of the car and open yourself. No signage to give direction of where you’re headed. Google location that you can use for navigation isn’t accurate. The rooms are old and the one provided to us did not have Television as stated on the website.

After ALL of that trouble, we advise that we will no longer be using the facilities and we are told they don’t do refunds that late when I stated on the booking that the arrival would be around 5pm.

I really enjoyed it here. The trees show off all the Autumn colours. The comfortable wooden deck face the most awesome views. There is some wildlife like giraffe, kudu, impala, warthog and birds we've seen. The Spekboom river meander through the lodge where wildlife come quench their thirst, also to be seen from the deck. Our room, the Loerie, has a deck as well overlooking the river and cliff face. Food was really awesome. The highlight of the day was the sunset.
