Kuhestan Organic Farm: Guest Cottages — Hotel in Greater Tzaneen Local Municipality

Absolute heaven on earth! We booked at Kuhestan at last minute and from beginning to end it was a magnificent stay! So much so we extended a night. Sharzhad was the most gracious and wonderful host. She is a gem of a human being and her laughter, sense of humor, and kindness to us was just wonderful. Our cottage was perfect! It had everything we needed to self cater and braai. Warm and cosy at night with a fire place, plus electric blankets and heated towel rails all made our stay better. The views are endless and the peace and absolute quiet was Heaven scent. Sharzhad and Brett's garden is enchanting and it's beautiful to have a peaceful stroll around them. They certainly do have green fingers and are blessed! The vegetable garden is a delight. We had daily fresh eggs, milk and butter and a freshly baked loaf of bread on arrival. One of the most special parts is that you just walk out the gate and hit the most enchanting hiking trails we've been on. Sharzhad provided us with a map of the trails and gave us good advice. The staff on the property were wonderful and serviced our cottage daily as well as prepared our fire place with firewood. There is also the most wonderful shop on the premises with all their amazing products they make on their organic farm; delicious cordials, jams and other delights as well as an abundance of avocados from their Orchards. We truely can only give our new favorite place a 20/10 and really I'm longing to go back already! Its clearly signposted not far off the main road. We arrived as strangers and left as friends!...

This was a five star +++++ experience ! This is an absolute gem of a place ... Thank you To the hosts for a most splendid stay in your gorgeous spacious immaculate and very comfortable cottage - 1 and 2 which we shared .. the open kitchen had the best view and was well equipped ! We loved the home made bread and your home made jam !! Most welcome was the tea and coffee and milk and fruit and eggs .. soo generous of you ! The fireplace in the sitting area was really stunning .. I love the fact that there is no tv buy excellent so fi .. the bedroom area is very comfortable with a stunning view .. the veranda his a great place for contemplation looking at the incredible bite and the gorgeous garden .. the peace and tranquilly is sublime ... the birds gave us their best songs !! Thank you for all your gracious hospitality ... we loved every moment of being there !! We stayed over here for one night en route home from Kruger. The place really exceeded our expectations ! Magnificent views over the mountains , immaculate gardens and wonderful orchards and vegetable garden. We picked berries, avos, fresh asparagus and Persian limes. Shahrzad and Brett are just the most amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We were there on a Sunday and most places are not open for supper so we self catered in the wonderfully equipped little kitchen in our cottage and with the fruit , home made bread, farm eggs , and preserves provided by the hosts had a great dinner on our patio overlooking a private garden - bliss. In the morning we bought cordials , preserves and honey all locally produced there and displayed in their lovely shop ||An unexpected plus was the wonderful array of birds at this venue - I saw many species right there , that one would usually struggle to track down in a forest eg green twinspot and forest canary. We just wish we could have...
