There was very littke done as far as hospitality was concerned. We arrived just before a thunderstorm. A Bolt hit near the hotel and all electricity a bd total internet blackout ftom that afternoon untiil the morning. There was no generator or rechargeable lights. Available. We had brought our own torches. I found the karroo food the usual fair yhat had vonsusted mainly of orefr8zen ore cooked food heated uo. The iconic lamb especially. During the night from 2 30am Allthe boer bielie on the farm started to h8wl in chores for two hours. I felt i was in a Stephen King movie sitting in a pitch black room. 8t was our second visit. Read moreWe are cycle tourists and found this a great place to stay. The room was so big we could easily fit our bikes inside. The hosts have a diner/bed/breakfast deal that is hard to beat. The dinner included baked quince which we had not tried before. The breakfast included goat yoghurt and goat cream cheese. We both are keen on goat cheese so it was a real treat....
