Klein Paradys — Hotel in Hibiscus Coast Local Municipality

Truly a Klein Paradys! Nestled on a hill in Anerley overlooking the ocean, Klein Paradys boasts of lush green tropical gardens, a decend sized swimming pool and some campsites and units to stay in when you and your family are on holiday in the south coast of KZN.

The unit we stayed in was well kept and clean. It had everything we needed. It was well maintained, affordable accommodation for the south coast. Our unit had a really great ocean view also which is always a plus!

A few areas in which the accommodation lacked were privacy, water pressure during loadshedding, hot water during loadshedding and undercover parking.

Three of these lacking areas surely weren't deal breakers for me and my fiance to return but privacy was a big one. One of the top things on our list is privacy. We found the host of Klein Paradys to be a bit intrusive and overbearing as she visited our unit constantly during our first few days of staying there. This kind of made us feel like she was keeping watch over us.

She also seemed very suspicious of us and even confronted us on why we entered the gate from different direction than usual after we returned from the beach. We also felt that she was eavesdropping on our private conversations. We even tested this a few times to ensure it wasn't our imaginations getting the better of us. We do get it, she is an old lady trying to look after her place and sometimes old ladies do weird things, but this actually scared us a bit.

We have also read through the other reviews here and I only hope she did not enter our unit, when we weren't there, to snoop because after what we experienced we can see that that could well be possible.

Because privacy is such an important factor for us we will unfortunately not return to...

Nice units and my daughter enjoyed both the pool and the trampoline, well looked after and no water issues as they have a bore hole but we were left with a less than pleasant experience with the owner who was less than friendly when we had a problem with the hot water and although she sorted it out quickly, shouting at me in front of my daughter when I had a question which left me shocked but what was more shocking was the fact that we caught the owner snooping through our unit each time we left to go somewhere, from snooping and tightening our taps to locking the fridge and occasionally peeping through our windows we were left feeling very violated and venerable. Sad because the price was very reasonable but we will definitely not be staying...

We were booked over Christmas for 2 nights with my family. Cabins not too shabby however the whole experience was made bitter by the owner of the place. Constantly in our business. Complaining about this and that. Peeping thru window spying on us. Complaining about her water pump "working overtime". Why run a facility of this nature where you deal with differebt kinds of races if clearly you have issues with a certain kind of people. I would not recommend the place to anyone more especially people of colour. The owner definately has issues!! It was one complaint after the other. The fake smile and wave when we left didn't do her any justice. We ourselves could not have left any sooner! Never to return...
