The staff are really genuine, friendly, super helpful and even more accommodating. My mate and I got there super early to surf, we we felt super welcome from the first person we met and everyone else after that too. Kim is the lady to see for absolutely delicious breakfasts and dinner. We had pixxa, bacon avo feta. Was flipn boss. Andy the owner is also a very cool guy. Everyone is. Bartender legend Gareth and bar staf is super professional and helpful. There was also a cool market on Saturday, fresh veg and amazing artifical jewellry and clothing. The evening was awesome, there was a gentleman singing, and honestly it was flippen awesome. I CAN NOT wait to go back there again. The beach is right down the road, Maybe 5 minute walk. Clean, no glass on the sand, excellent lifeguards, and best of all , a pretty decent surf spot. From beginner to expert level waves there. If you have not surfed there before, have a chat with the lifeguard legends, they will be happy to help you and show you the safe way out if you don't know already. Go and see it for yourself, you'll want to go back and enjoy it again and again. Regards

Certainly one of my most favorite places in the world ! It's perfect for a couple or group of friends as this is a safe space to experience new things , and being yourself. With banana trees everywhere and jungle scenes all around you. Very safe There's so many things to mention about this place like the various rooms for example, tree houses, family rooms , on suite cabins , single cabins , teepees , glass tree house and cabin , as well as cheap dorm rooms. These wifi , swimming pool, darts , foozball , poker & other board games , beer pong , prizes wheel , etc.. a great bar with an exceptional vibe and atmosphere. Very close to two towns and other restaurants and beaches Very close by as well as live music venues nearby as well Yoga is a must at this place. Surf boards available and lessons nearby Very cool staff and art everywhere you look Perfect for a night over on the road. Perfect for a weekend getaway Perfect for a holiday road trip Etc. Highly recommended for younger crowds Love this place A must if you are passing through the south coast!

I had the most incredible stay at Mantis and Moon this past weekend! From the moment I arrived, the vibe was welcoming and peaceful. The staff were so friendly, and even the other guests made it feel like a little community. One of the best parts of the stay was the food — they catered amazing vegan options just for me, which made me feel so seen and cared for. The location is also perfect — just a short walk to the beach, which made sunrise and sunset strolls a daily joy. We also took part in yoga sessions, and I have to give a special shoutout to Simi, our instructor — she was so kind, gentle, and lovely. Her presence really made the experience more special. Oh, and Zena the dog — she absolutely stole my heart! Such a sweet soul. Between the bar, pool, jacuzzi, the beach, great food, and beautiful people, this place is a true hidden gem. I highly recommend Mantis and Moon and will 100% be coming back!

A truly awful experience.

Advertised as a tranquil getaway, but couldn't be further away from that. I wanted a peaceful weekend away with my husband but we stuck it out for one night, cut our losses and went home.

We stayed in the glass tree house, which needed a good clean. The glass was filthy.

The worst part was the bar, with incessant music that carried on for most of the night. We got a few short hours of sleep before the music started again at 7 a.m.

There was no hot water, and we had to share a bathroom with two other rooms, and their occupants were extremely belligerent about us using their toilet, like it was somehow our fault.

Their dogs were noisy during the night and aggressive, with one baring its teeth at me and trying to nip me when I walked past. I have my own dogs and love them but for most people this could be a real issue.

The parking arrangement is ridiculous, with a few tiny parking spots inside the premises and the rest of the cars having to be parked outside. We were lucky to have a parking spot inside but most guests were parked on the curb. A car buffet, if you're into theft.

Staff was nowhere to be found for the most part and unhelpful when we asked that they turn the music off.

If you're looking for somewhere to party all night, love to shower cold, and plan on not sleeping, this could be your thing but if you're after a peaceful getaway, try...

If I could give zero stars I would. We booked the ensuite cabin. Upon arrival, we paid the rest of the money then where not provided with the towels we specificay asked for before arrival, were not provided with a code to leave the premises and had to ask fellow customers when we tried to leave. We found the cabin not in the state of the cabin as promised by the pictures. The cabin had dirty floors, wet walls and non of the windows or doors, were able to close properly. The curtains had stains of varied body fluids and dirty hands on them, with dead and alive mosquitos hanging on. The bedding was dirty with multiple stains and moldy pillows, with mold stains on them. The bathroom was in a similar state, where the likelihood of you coming out with foot fungus is higher than coming out clean. After complaining we were put up in one of the tree houses for a night, which was a little drier but still had moldy pillows, dirty bedding and we spent the night being rained on through the roof. We had initially booked a whole week but only stayed for one night and still have not been reimbursed for our reservation. If you want to relax and protect your health, during your holiday, I would not recommend staying here. Giving - 4 stars. My suggestion to the place do not rip off your customers and invest into insulation, new bedding, and better cleaning strategies. Also properly roof your...

Wow. What a place. Such a vibe. Staff is friendly, the people coming to stay there are from all over the world so it's such an experience to stay there and meet new people. You go on vacation by going to the beach, but it's also a vacation on its own to stay at Mantis and Moon. There are yoga classes, a bar, a swimming pool with a slide, a pool table, arcade machine, a bonfire pit, a braai area, reading area and more. The decorations there are so vibrant and tropical themed, all the walls are beautifully painted It's such a joy just to walk around there. The place is also surrounded by greenery. I stayed in a teepee and I was very comfortable, wasn't cold (December). The only downside, which we all know, is when you're staying to close to the sea, everything is moist. There is thankfully a washing machine and dryer there. Yet the communal shower and bathroom is a bit stinky with the wetness, but it wasn't a make or break. Was fun every morning in the communal kitchen to be surrounded by many different types of people making breakfast. Just overall an entire experience on its own to stay there, it's not just accommodation,...
