We recently stayed here for a family trip and to celebrate our daughter’s 5th birthday. The grounds are extremely well maintained and everyone is so polite and accommodating. We had a 500m walk to the private beach access and the beach itself is blue flag which is such a huge bonus, especially with young children. We decided to extend our stay by 2 nights and the lady at the front desk was so accommodating with this. The pool area is amazing! 2 waterslides and a toddler section with sprinklers as well as a play area. There is plenty of activities to do within San Lameer for those extra windy days on the beach. We will definitely be back!!

Lovely grounds. Apartments great inside but in need of a little TLC outside. There is a great atmosphere and the staff are outstanding. If you are by the golf course be prepared to be woken up to the sound of strimmers and mowers at 6 every day. The beach is lovely too. Very popular but the lifeguards keep everyone safe. Want to come back to play golf as the course does look very nice, just no time to play this time as visiting family after a long time absent. Would recommend at least 1 stay here to see the local area and visit Mac Banana of course 😅

We loved our 10 day stay here. It was quite far away from the beach and not mentioned but that didn't get us down. I would recommend renting a golf car for quick nav if it is too far to walk. It was a lovely 4 bedroom house, all rooms en suite. Infinity pool, jacuzzi and sauna! It was clean and well kept. All the estate facilities are in superb condition. Beautiful golf course. Nice beach with lifeguards. Small shop inside the estate. Hotel and spa. Tennis and squash courts. To name a few.

Villa 13930 - not what expected from a 5-star villa. We booked Villa 13912 via the website and once done, booked our air tickets. Villa Rentals contacted us the Villa was no longer available as the owner was using it. They said 13930 was even better and offered it to us, we accepted as we had no choice as our tickets were booked. We arrived and at first glance it appeared in order. Then the problems started. The pool was dirty (not serviced), so the jacuzzi. My husband cleaned the pool and backwashed it so we could at least use it. By the 5th day of our stay the jacuzzi was green and we could not use it. In the games room, the pool table-top had holes in it. WE complained and were told that the owner will replace it in time to come. Some cupboard doors and curtains were coming off, we advised the housekeeper of such to ensure that we would not be seen to have caused the damage. The showers and in particular upstairs were a problem in that we had water all over the bathroom when we showered. We resorted to put towels down as to ensure the water does not go into the bedrooms. Note we occupied 2 x bedrooms only, friends visited us for 2 nights and used the bedroom that seemed to be fitted for disabled persons, the shower in this room was perfect. The aircon in the upstairs bedroom was not working and was repaired the next day. The maintenance guy said it ran out of gas. The dishwasher was filthy and smelly inside, it still had food residue from the previous occupants. We then discovered it was not working. We reported this. The next day my husband checked everything, and as last resort unplugged it completely and with this reset, we got it going. When it rained, the water flooded the wash area, we were told that we had to put a towel at the bottom of the door as it happens when it rains. The fridge packed up and we were given a small loan unit. Again, my husband checked what he could, unplugged it and by the next day it was working. We continued using the small fridge for food as we were concerned that it may pack up again. There is only a gas braai. On Wednesday night we ran out of gas and could not braai. We resorted to using the air fryer. The beds were comfortable and the linen clean. There were more than sufficient towels. The view was as promised, great! The housekeeper, Mamsi is very pleasant and looked after us. The villa is spacious and well appointed. There is ample crockery, pots and pans and utensils but it is worth mentioning that crockery and glasses are odd sets, and some were chipped. The only real problem was all knives were blunt and so the scissors making it difficult to do basic cooking. The villa is situated in a tranquil area. We were not told that the house next door was being demolished, rebuilt but fortunately rules are such that work must stop during holidays. It was however unsightly and spoiled the otherwise beautiful surroundings. The resort is well kept, nice and the restaurants are good. The shop had everything we needed, and the little beach shop was a bonus point. We rented a golf cart, and we recommend this as it is a pleasant way to get around. Security is good and we felt safe. We were informed by Villa Rentals that the owner of the property was put on terms and that going forward, they would not be letting the unit until it met standards. As consolation we were told that they would approach the owner for some refund to compensate but our e-mails on following up on this has been met with silence. Bottom line, we stayed in places far cheaper and better than Villa 13930. We believe that as letting agents, Villa Rentals should inspect properties prior to occupation and ensure that thus do the maintenance they are...

I recently stay at San LA Meer Villa Number 2915 and unfortunately I was not Impressed at ALL, namely because the SLIDING DOOR leading to the balcony was nearly impossible to open and close, the Ceiling Van in the Guest bedroom was a Safety Hazard to my Kids as it swayed side to side when switched on, we never used it after that, the Internet was an absolute joke as it kept stalling.

The gentleman I spoke to via Whats App (Langa) had a don't care attitude towards my issues when I spoke to him. I had asked if anyone would come in to clean the Villa, he said due to COVID they limit Human interaction but if I were to pay for the service then one would be arranged,i mean how do you rent out a Villa for 4 days without providing the client with a cleaning service? Are they people on holiday supposed to clean the villa themselves? Well we eventually had to! As for the towels, NOBODY FETCHED THEM ON ANY DAY, we as guests had to wash and hang them. When these complaints were adressed with (Langa) he had a don't care attitude, further to that he either answered his phone when I called or just let it ring, some messages were answered hours later or the next day. When addressing the issues again upon checking out, I was then made to look like a liar, even though I had close to 5 witnesses on holiday with me. THIS WAS AN ABOSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME, MONEY AND EFFORT as we drove close to 2hours to this venue. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE RENTING OR STAYING AT VILLA 2915 AT SAN LA MEER...

San Lameer is well located and family friendly in most respects. It has a nice beech with a good life guarding team, which is necessary on this coast. It lovely to have the wild life around but the large number of villas and the fire has somewhat limited the space for the animals and birds. The petrol golf carts are a good idea for getting around, but electric ones would be better (less noise, greener and cleaner). Book them in advance to ensure availability at peak times. The standard of the villas is generally very good, but not 5 star. Some of the mattresses in our unit were of moderate quality and the crockery and cutlery somewhat cheap and sparse for 7 people. Mosquito screens on the window would be a good idea particularly as one of the air conditioning units did not function.

My daughter required hospital treatment for a head injury when she was hit by a golf ball driven from the 9th tee when dinning at the club house restaurant. This was a known problem to the staff; a woman had her nose smashed the day before while dinning. But injuring guess regularly is apparently not a concern to...
