We booked our stay 2 months in advance, yet never received confirmation of our booking, I had to call twice to confirm if they have received the deposit. Upon arrival, there was no one at the reception desk, after waiting about 10minutes, I had to go and find someone. Also the reception office is a bit disorganized, bales of toilet paper everywhere, just gave an unprofessional first impression. We were not given any info regarding the restaurant operating time, didn't get the gate code (had to ask later) also had to ask for the wifi code.

The chalet was clean, apart from the coffee mugs in the cabinet, they still had a coffee ring inside and where wet when placed in the cupboard. Beds were comfortable, bedding is not the newest but it was clean. The shower was strange, while showering the water temperature would change from extremely hot to ice cold, without touching the taps.

Also would have like a few more sachets of coffee, etc only got 4 of each for our 3 day stay, family of 4. Also only coffee was provided, no tea.

Also the wifi reception was horrible, so don't even waste your time trying to connect.

The location was perfect, we had a great view of the Orange river in it's full glory. Peaceful and tranquil, great place...

Poor management. Before 08h00 in the morning the african music start from guests out of their cars and the louder the music the louder the voices and nobody is doing anything about it....and I was camping FAR from them. It was extremely hot and we did not want to swim in river as we saw a pofadder swim in it, then we went to the swimming pool where there was music and drinking out of glass bottels in pool from early morning. This is really not ok. Why when your camp is full you don't control your guests? Maybe it would be best to not allow music at all. I would think people come to enjoy the nature, birds and the sound of the river at your camp. Now the possitive. Camp is extremely neat, bathrooms is neat. Lots of grass and trees. You hear the river (or supposed to if there is no loud music)Their girls working at restaurant is very kind and it has a beautiful view, their breakfast at R60 is devine, so are the milkshakes. This place really deserves a 5 star, but because of poor management over the weekend I can only give 3 stars. I really hope the owner will read and think about this as a camp without strick rules...

I’m sorry, I hate it to give bad reviews, but we are very disappointed.

We stayed in Chalet 6, paid R2,600 for 2 nights, and we could’t even enjoy a shower.

Massive lack in maintenance overall.

Our shower changed in temperature from extremely cold to extremely warm every few seconds. Jumping in and out from underneath the water the entire time you are trying to shower is horrible.

Ceilings and walls, especially in the bathroom, shocking.

Microwave on the inside… Curtains… The pillows should have been replaced years ago… The linen… The plumbing in the barthroom… The tiling on the shower’s floor… Toilet was broken when we checked in… The walls on the inside, especially in the bedroom next to the barthroom, shocking…

At the deck next to the restaurant, the canopy is torn, and not in upright position. The Lapa is not maintained either.

Huge lack in maintenance overall.

Our stay was very...

Great Location, Noisy Nights This charming establishment offers a prime location with breathtaking views. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by the significant noise levels in the double rooms. The thin walls allowed us to clearly hear our neighbors' conversations, TV, and even their coughs and movements. The pipes in the walls also added to the disturbance, especially during showers. While the rooms were clean and tidy, it's evident that the property could benefit from some much-needed TLC. The wear and tear is beginning to show. The restaurant, however, was a highlight. The food was delicious, and the view was simply stunning. Despite the positive aspects, we were unable to overlook the noise issues. The constant disturbances made it difficult to sleep, so we won't be returning for another stay. However, we might consider camping here in the future, as the facilities seemed well-maintained.
