My 2nd visit, and my party this time had not visited Grootvalleij before. They were blown away by the place, and felt I had under-sold it in my description to them. We had a wonderful 5 night stay in the Sonvanger unit. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable and we espescially appreciated the indoor fireplace where we could braai. The unit is also solar powered - so there is no load shedding!!!. Esme, the hostess, was also amazingly kind and helpful and went out of her way to assist us when our car had to be towed in to Springbok and repaired due to a broken fuel tank. Blommehuisie is a small one room facility but is exactly what you need to get closer to nature. Quality bedding and towels with all the necessary provided for self catering.
